oskar joins mousesports

Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný has replaced Johannes "nex" Maget in mousesports' active roster, the German organization has confirmed.

Back in June HellRaisers announced that Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný would become inactive, as he had signed a forward contract with another organization earlier this year.

That organization is now confirmed to be mousesports, who were rumoured to pick up the 25-year-old ever since he had left HellRaisers' active roster. Initially his contract was supposed to run out in September, mousesports have however bought him out of it a month early.

As expected by the community, Johannes "⁠nex⁠" Maget has been relieved of his duties in the German organization following underwhelming displays at both Majors this year, MLG Columbus and ESL One Cologne.

According to oskar's statement, he had received the offer in April, about half-way through his supposed one-year contract with the Ukraine-based organization, shortly after MOUZ exited MLG Columbus in groups.

Since then Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač's side have garnered a quarter-final finish at DreamHack Masters Malmö, another group stage exit at ESL One Cologne after qualifying for the Major with relative ease, and most recently a successful 3rd-4th placing at ELEAGUE.

The Czech's debut with MOUZ is scheduled for Tuesday, August 23rd at 19:00 , when they're set to kick off their ESL Pro League Season 4 journey with a match against fnatic.

No, Coldzera and XANTARES are. S1mple, NiKo and Shox are around the same level for second best player of 2016. Coldzera is currently number 1 with 2 majors back to back, both of which was MVP and has the highest rating at the moment. XANTARES has the highest rating of any player and is classed as the most consistent fragger in the world. NiKo is not number 1 at all... not even close.

Xantares plays in tier 3 and hasn't been in a single $50k+ tournament. If Niko, Coldzera, or S1mple played against those teams they would easily double Xantares' rating. Put Xantares against tier 1 teams and his rating will tank, he isn't even top 25 material right now. The only teams that he has faced that are even tier 2 are Dignitas and X, and while he did preform well against Dignitas he got absolutely destroyed by X. If you look at big events in 2016 (big event qualifiers as $250k+ and on LAN) Niko has the highest rating (minimum 15 maps, tied with Coldzera none-the-less) of anyone at 1.20.

Shox at his peak could easily out play anyone, and if you can deny that you obviously haven't watched enough CS in your lifetime to even voice an opinion. As for NiKo, he literally 1 v 5's tier 1 teams. I have nothing against Cold being considered the best player of 2016 but I am talking about player's peak ability, and in that respect s1mple still has room to grow. I agree. ShoX is one of the best players in the world. NiKo is inconsistent and frequently chokes. XANTARES has yet to prove his mettle, but has consistent high-ratings on every map he plays. Just because my flag is UK, does not mean you can instantly start you sentence with an unwarranted attack. Good day.

That is like saying cat shit is better than dog shit. All of them need to go (plus ChrisJ) for this team to have any chance at being successful. Maybe Faze could do something with Niko (can't really do much with Oskar though since they already picked up an AWPer in Allu). Maybe G2 could dump Smithzz (who is god awful) and boddy (who isn't much better) and pick them up and become the best team in the world. Although G2 might communicate in French so they might not be able to play for them.
