TSM lose CS:GO team

TSM have confirmed via their official website that they have parted ways with their CS:GO team.

In a statement, the North American organisation explained that the decision was made after the four players on the team expressed a desire to continue playing alongside Sean "⁠seang@res⁠" Gares, who had been released from his contract in December.

The former Cloud9 member spent just a week on TSM before being released due to his involvement in the letter that was sent by 25 North American players to PEA team owners. According to TSM owner, Andy "Reginald" Dinh, his players' decision to protest against the exclusivity of PEA's league tarnished the organisation's brand publicly.

"Given the current situation, it was clear that the correct decision for us was to find a new home where the four players could continue their careers along with Sean.

"As such, we spent the last few weeks searching for the best option possible for the players, and eventually selected the option that the players themselves most desired.

"As for the EPL spot, earned by Semphis, FNS, Relyks, SicK, and Twistzz, we will be transferring that to their new organization."

TSM, who admitted to being "extremely disappointed" at not being able to retain the squad, have not stated whether they plan to make another foray into the Counter-Strike scene.

The North American team were last seen in attendance at the ESEA Season 23 Global Premier Challenge, where they finished 7th-8th with Kory "⁠SEMPHIS⁠" Friesen and Pujan "⁠FNS⁠" Mehta as stand-ins due to the tournament's roster restrictions.

The team's lineup looks as follows:
