HEN1, LUCAS1 request to leave Immortals - Report

Immortals duo Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles and Henrique "HEN1" Teles have asked to leave the team, according to a report from ESPN Brasil.

The twins have requested to be moved to the bench and will return to Brazil this Wednesday, less than 24 hours after Vito "⁠kNgV-⁠" Giuseppe revealed that he was no longer tied to the North American organisation.

Unlike the 22-year-old, however, Lucas "⁠LUCAS1⁠" Teles and Henrique "⁠HEN1⁠" Teles remain contracted to Immortals and will only be allowed to leave if another organisation meets their release clauses.

This is not the first time that the Teles twins have tried to force their way out of Immortals. In August, the Brazilian duo, together with kNgV-, asked to be allowed to leave the organisation as a result of ongoing internal issues.

The unhappy trio ended up staying on, but kNgV- made no secret that some of the players on the team did not agree with the signing of João "⁠horvy⁠" Horvath and went on to write on Twitter that Immortals "shot themselves in the foot" by picking up a backup player.

Should the twins be allowed to leave, Immortals will automatically lose their Legend status as they will only retain 2/5 of the line-up that reached the final at PGL Major Krakow.

Immortals' roster is currently depleted to just two players, Ricardo "⁠boltz⁠" Prass and Lucas "⁠steel⁠" Lopes. horvy is in the final stages of his visa application and should return to Brazil in the coming days to finalise the process, after which he will be able to move to the United States.

Yes their behavior has been bad in a while too, what I am saying is that the way the org manages the team has not been optimal. First it was FNX hiring, taking in a troubled veteran player and expecting him to be humble and serving to a very inexperienced team just to bench him due to "internal issues" when the team were in a high with ONLY 3 months, C'mon the org should be sure they had hands firm enough to make the guy put his shit together or they should not even pick him in the first place. But ok, it's a fairly new team, you learn from your mistakes right? Aparently not, they hire kNgV a guy that was clear as water since the beginning did not have the emotional stability to handle being in an already troubled team with a visible lack of leadership. The cracks didn't take long to start showing. The org was clearly unpleased and fed up with the team behavior, just compare the social media posts from Immortals in the beggining of the year during the "fnx honeymoon" with the later on, the csgo team received less and less praise and space compared to their other games despite qualifying heroically to the majors then making finals when nobody expected they to go further than groups. So what the org does just afterthat? hire another player as a backup, is like saying "hey guys watch your back, is not because you nearly won a major that I won't fuck you right in the ass if you don't behave" Then it came the Dreamhack fiasco, and here I think the thing really went downhill in the team management field,. Ok the guys were late and should be punished within the org but, as a team and, with people saying they were drunk fucks when the players swearing to god they were sober, the org should at least for the public back the team up and not let people talk their asses off and destroy their players reputations without any proof. But no, they let the dramma float free and as punishment, instead of handling things internaly they fucking suspended their player from playing a qualifier. You see, I'm not saying the immature fucks that play for immortals are right, what I am saying is that the org, since the beggining, has bitten more than they could chew, betting in raw skill but forgeting that they are handling something that goes a little further than the game and is called human beings. Sorry for the long answer and the typos mate, just wanted to make my point clear.

I respect Immortal's level of play, but the maturity level of the team leaves much to be desired. At this point they're not only jeopardizing the team, but their own careers and the careers of those around them. To top it off, I am not sure there are going to be better opportunities for them. They had a solid team that was, for the most part, working. Now they are almost back to square one. The two I really feel bad for are Boltz and Steel. Both of them came from a much stronger team that cut them and worked their way back up. It's a shame that the immaturity and selfishness of others force them to start over, to some degree.

I, too, disagree with their decision to ask to leave. But this isn't childish at all. When you want to leave your workplace, you're free to ask to leave. Just because the majority of the community thinks kng is an asshole and deserved the kick, it doesn't mean the twins are obliged to think the same.
