Chosen5 complete PLG Grand Slam team list

Chosen5 have secured the final spot at PLG Grand Slam, the event's organisers have announced.

The Jordanian side are the third team from the Middle East confirmed for the tournament, following in the footsteps of invitee NASR and Persian qualifier winner bluuuuud.

Chosen5's most notable achievements include reaching two WESG regional events. In 2016, the team placed fourth at the Middle East & Africa Finals with current HellRaisers member Issa "⁠ISSAA⁠" Murad in their ranks, while in 2017 they finished in 11th-12th place at the Asia-Pacific event. More recently, the Jordanians fell to Viva Algeria in the WESG 2018 Africa grand final.

Chosen5 will compete in Abu Dhabi

Running from December 13-15, the PLG Grand Slam will be held in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, where 16 squads will battle it out for their share of the $100,000 prize pool.

I think in many of those countries the last name is more important. In some Arab names you can basically see half of their family history, so that's the part of their name that makes them "unique" whereas in the West nobody really cares about last names and many people have the same.

not huge event so very top teams not looking to play it, then eu+na minor qualifier same dates too so many tier 2-3 teams can't play + there was many international qualifiers and invites anyway.
