Luminosity to replace Lazarus at Americas Minor

StarLadder has announced that Luminosity will replace Lazarus at the upcoming Americas Minor.

The North American team were forced to withdraw from the tournament after losing two of the players who helped the squad in their qualification campaign. HLTV.org knows that the players in question are stand-ins Pujan "⁠FNS⁠" Mehta and Tyson "⁠TenZ⁠" Ngo, the latter of whom was recently unveiled as a Cloud9 player.

Envy and Luminosity, the two losing sides of the North American closed qualifier's final round, were due to square off for the vacant spot at the Minor, but Noah "⁠Nifty⁠" Francis's troops declined the invite as the LAN event will collide with IEM Chicago, for which they are already qualified.

felps is set to play his first event with Luminosity

The event will mark João "⁠felps⁠" Vasconcellos' debut for Luminosity following his loan signing from MIBR in a deal that saw Lucas "⁠LUCAS1⁠" Teles move in the opposite direction, also on a temporary basis.

The Americas Minor will take place from July 17-21 in Berlin and will feature eight teams, six coming from the North American qualifier and two from the South American qualifier. The top two sides will secure direct entry into the StarLadder Major's New Challenger Stage, while the third-placed team will progress to the Minor Play-In, a last-chance qualifier.
