ESL Pro League S10 stage two groups revealed

ESL has announced the groups for the second round-robin stage of ESL Pro League Season 10 across all regions (Europe, Americas and Asia-Pacific).

With the first group stage now behind us and half of the 16 spots at the Pro League Finals already filled, 24 teams will be taking part in the second stage with hopes of nailing down a place at the main event, in Odense.

In Europe, the top two sides from both groups will advance to the LAN finals, while in the Americas only the group winners will earn spots at the main event.

In both regions, all eyes will be in Group B. The two DreamHack Masters Malmö finalists, fnatic and Vitality, have been placed in the same group, which also features FaZe, while Renegades and FURIA are also set for a rematch after recently meeting in the lower bracket final of StarSeries i-League Season 8.

In the Asia-Pacific region, in which the matches will be played in an online setting, only the group winners will claim spots at the Pro League Finals, with TYLOO and Grayhound being the red-hot favourites to come out on top.

A lot of events smartly give more spots to Europe than any other region, it doesn't make sense to give the Americas and Europe the same amount of spots at an event when there are only 5 teams in the Americas in the top 20 and one of those is a Australian team that just lives there.

They do? Because all I can see is 4 Americas teams have qualified, 4 EU teams have qualified and there is still 2 groups of each left? I want to be wrong though so can you show me where EU have more spots and I can be happy.

The two top teams from each EU group go through (4 teams in total) whereas only the top team from each NA group goes through (2 teams in total).

For EU top 2 of each of those 2 groups qualify for the Finals. For Americas only the top team in each of those 2 groups qualify. So in the end you'll have 8 EU + CIS teams, 6 American teams (North + South America), 1 Asian team and 1 Oceanian team

Vitality, fnatic and FaZe in one group... I actually think it's gonna be FaZe and fnatic to go through, Vitality have looked extremely weak at StarSeries, if you think about it: - beat the shit out of Invictus, the third worst team in the tournament after team like motherfucking Imperial and 5POWER. - won 2-1 vs. North, who are still weak. - lost vs. Renegades, worthy of pointing out their 1-14 Mirage T side. - lost to fnatic, considering the scores, not very good, only a fake comeback on Nuke. - got shit on by FURIA, again 1-14 T side on Mirage. fnatic are way better Vitality, also FaZe are most likely gonna surprise, so yeah, R.I.P. Vitality.
