MIBR confirm LUCAS1 exit

MIBR have announced that they have parted ways with Lucas "⁠LUCAS1⁠" Teles with immediate effect.

The announcement all but confirms that MIBR will sign Ignacio "⁠meyern⁠" Meyer from Sharks as reported by HLTV.org and Globo Esporte, with the Argentinian expected to be formally unveiled in the coming hours as the team will attend cs_summit 5 on Thursday.

LUCAS1 leaves MIBR after just six months with the team, having been recruited in June to replace João "⁠felps⁠" Vasconcellos, initially on a loan transfer from Luminosity.

LUCAS1 looks set to end 2019 as a free agent

The 24-year-old averaged a 1.02 rating on LAN while with MIBR, making his last appearance for the team at the ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals, where the Brazilians crashed out in 9th-12th place.

cs_summit 5 will be the final event of the year for MIBR, who are currently ranked 11th in the world. Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo's side are already confirmed for the New Challengers Stage of the ESL One Rio Major after finishing in 12th-14th place at the StarLadder Major, which they attended with coach Wilton "⁠zews⁠" Prado as a stand-in following Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David's request to be allowed to pursue a new challenge.

Has MIBR become the old NIP? having the same core of 3 and yet never succeeding again? They are all undeniable amazing talents. But what is really needed here is a complete restart for all of them imo. I think the problem is lack of motivation and fatique. And really from Fallen + Fer. If they took a break from cs completely for 2-3 months (like flusha) i think they could come back with fire and dominate again. But i just dont see it happening. And now they are just riding the old kick the new player if we dont get a result. Lucas1 is an amazing player, so was felps and boltz.
