Envy becomes seventh founding member of FLASHPOINT

Envy became the seventh founding member of FLASHPOINT, the American organization has announced.

The addition of Envy to the founding teams of FLASHPOINT comes just a little over a month following an overhaul of their roster, which saw them pick up Buğra "⁠Calyx⁠" Arkın, Michał "⁠MICHU⁠" Müller, and Kaleb "⁠moose⁠" Jayne as players as well as Nikola "⁠LEGIJA⁠" Ninić in the coaching position at the end of January.

The FLASHPOINT league had been on the lookout for four new members to fill up the originally planned quota of 10 founding members after the vast majority of teams who had a slot in the revamped ESL Pro League chose to stay in the much more stacked competition.

Envy join FLASHPOINT with the new squad around Nifty

With Envy's addition, there are still three slots left to be filled with organizations that buy in for $2 million. The remaining two spots will come from the Pinnacle Open Global Qualifier, which is currently underway with its final stage.

The league itself will kick off on March 13 and will see the twelve participants play twice in a GSL format to garner points, with the top-eight sides making it through to the finals.

That's the only reason anyone would watch is just brand loyalty. EPL will have more quality games, but I do think theres room for some bangers here depending on how they structure the format. Could be a fun T2 event

well, what else should some orgs do? esl kicking orgas all over the place despite they were qualified for the season. that was just a bitch move stripping the pro league down on teams and not telling the organisations...

Just bring online tourneys back TY. Waiting 2+ weeks between top tier games is eventually going to kill the scene. Everyone and their grandma kept praising LAN, not realizing how much time it takes to play LAN compared to online, thus giving us way fewer (top) matches. And for the sake of god, just kill Blast completely. Not one team is taking that tourney seriously, and it has become a parody of itself. And I am a dane saying this. Its a shit tourney, and you never see any new inovative plays at Blast.
