NaToSaphiX confirmed as Complexity stand-in in ESL Pro League

The 25-year-old AWPer will temporarily return to the international roster until Kristian "⁠k0nfig⁠" Wienecke recovers.

Niels Christian "⁠NaToSaphiX⁠" Sillassen will stand in for Complexity during their campaign in ESL Pro League Season 14 after k0nfig suffered a wrist injury in the lead-up to the tournament, the organization has confirmed. k0nfig will be out of action for at least four weeks following his surgery, with some additional time potentially required for rehabilitation.

This will be the second time NaToSaphiX will play for the Texas-based organization, previously stepping in for the EPL Season 12 playoffs and IEM New York 2020 during the absence of Owen "⁠oBo⁠" Schlatter.

NaToSaphiX will return to Complexity after standing in during EPL 12

Since his departure from the Heroic roster in 2019, the Danish journeyman has struggled to find a permanent home, bouncing between Scandinavian rosters such as Nordavind and Lyngby Vikings and free agency. NaToSaphiX has spent the last two months on trial at GORILLAZ, an international mix led by Robin "⁠flusha⁠" Rönnquist.

Sillassen will have big shoes to fill in Complexity as k0nfig has been one of the team's most important players since his arrival, displaying a remarkable 1.13 rating over the last six months.

EPL Season 14 emerges as a tough challenge for the boys in blue-and-white, who will have to integrate a stand-in on short notice before facing a group shared by G2, OG, Virtus.pro, FORZE, and SINNERS. Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer's side will kick off their campaign in the tournament on Saturday, with the opening matchup pitting them against FORZE at 20:00 .

In the absence of k0nfig, Complexity will field the following roster in ESL Pro League:
