es3tag to replace LNZ on NIP - Report

A reunion of Patrick "⁠es3tag⁠" Hansen and Nicolai "⁠device⁠" Reedtz is reportedly on the cards.

es3tag is close to finalizing a move to Ninjas in Pyjamas, according to a report by Dexerto. The Dane is reportedly set to replace Linus "⁠LNZ⁠" Holtäng, who had been playing with the team for the past six months after joining the main squad from the academy team, Young Ninjas.

The newest addition will reportedly debut already at the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Final, taking place on November 24-28 in Copenhagen, for which Ninjas in Pyjamas were apparently allowed to make a last-minute roster change at the expense of playing the tournament as the lowest-seeded team.

es3tag is reportedly replacing LNZ on NIP

The 25-year-old would be joining the Swedish side on a transfer from Complexity, where he has been sitting on the transfer list for the past two weeks after the squad around Benjamin "⁠blameF⁠" Bremer fell apart on the back of a series of disappointing results, including a failure to qualify for PGL Major Stockholm.

The brief stint with the Dallas-based organization marked a continuation of es3tag's misfortunes in the online era, during which he represented three different organizations — Astralis, Cloud9, and Complexity —, in each of which he only lasted a few months.

es3tag joining in place of LNZ would make Ninjas in Pyjamas's roster the following:

Also the ONE to still be standing from the 2nd line of NIP roster. It really isn’t that different. How good you understand Swedish as a Dane depends on where in Denmark you are from. But there are a lot of words that are basically the same or very similar. Danish: Jeg hedder Patrick og jeg spiller cs Swedish: jag heter Patrick och jag spelar cs If you have an for language (which he does) he will pick it up in no time

It depends on the role. Plopski plays entry most of the time. You cant get es3tag and remove plopski. If they got dupreeh or brollan then the one to be removed would be Plopski. Furthermore, Plopski is much more matured in his game. He lacks consistency, and since hampus was installed as IGL he suffered a lot (due to the new system), but he is still a good and smart player.

i hear what you are saying and i do agree. Obviously Esetag doesnt fit for Plopski`s roles , what i meant was that they got some other entry in place of him but it doesnt surprise me that its LNZ to go out instead. Plopski has the potential , he showed it when GTR was still in the team. But i wouldnt call him smart , he overpeeks alot sometimes and his aim can be pretty off on some days. But thats the story of literally every NiP player , they can be very good or very bad depending on the day

If they decide to replace Plopski, it would be very possible that they get Nilo from their academy team, or even Sapec or ZTR. However, considering their young age, getting someone other than Brollan or Dupreeh (both very unlikely), i really dont think they will change their roster anytime soon.

I think at one stage it was because of how much the CIS region popped off during the online-era but I still that think currently Denmark has the largest in terms of numbers. Good point about CIS, though... But putting them together would make a half-decent team. The problem is Sweden doesn't have any good AWP players right now, and besides Hampus there's only Friberg for IGL, and he's not going to last much longer. But Heroic is now also part Swedish with Xizt as coach. NiP and Fnatic both didn't develop Swedish talent enough, so now the pool has dried up.

Hampus is an IGL, but not good enough to challenge top 1 (though to be fair, I wouldn't say Boombl4 is either). Krimz is getting a little old, he's not as good as he used to be. Dev1ce being back at 2018 level would still require Brollan and REZ to carry the team. REZ also fell off a bit in the past few years, though with a good team around him he can probably get back to a high level. So with current form you have an out of shape REZ and Dev1ce, a mediocre IGL in Hampus, an old-man-Krimz, and with your setup of the team a Brollan out of his comfort zone. And then you don't have a good support either. That's not top 1 by any means, top 10 probably, but that's assuming the personalities play well together.

devve, top5 awp for sure, literally the best player to touch csgo and is still the goat. krimz "support", still top5 on LAN for sure, not old at all, just bad team(s) during the online era, hes in great shape outside and inside the server. hampus, have been a SICK IGL for nip lately and still improving, carried them HARD, TOP5 for sure, depending how you count(frag or "Igl" stuff etc). REZ, is up and down, overall nothing special about him, just a good, young rifler. Brollan YOUNG entry goat, full freedom in this team, goat level.

Plopski is next, yes, but Brollan won't join. Brollan is still young, and younger players are always more loyal to their orgs, you also won't see Yekindar, Bymas, B1t, or ZywOo leave their team anytime soon. Brollan would not join NiP, plus right now Fnatic is on the up, so he'll definitely want to see where in the ranking they end up after a few months.

Fun thing is that danish and norwegian has quite the similar language, and a swede can to a large point understand a norwegian, however it is really difficult to understand danish people since their accents are quite broad, so would be some difficulties! However, usually these things are about adapting and tuning in to eachother so getting used to the dialect might work

Just to be clear. Every team he joined went to shit. On the other hand, no one has big expectations and he is replacing academy team player. LNZ had a good first major just too bad he cracked a bit under pressure on the main stage. Other than that he had some really good games. es3tag however is no surprise. They won't ever pick up an American I'm thinking they should have just dished out for +dupreeh -Plopski along with -LNZ +es3tag would have been an instant success IMO as of now they are a solid team if Plopski does get replaced though I can picture someone from Dignitas joining once they eventually disband maybe +f0rest he's still a beast or +HEAP

Es3tag was a great support player in his short stint with Astralis in 2020, they had great form. Does he speak Swedish though? In case there are no language barriers, this should instantly bring to the team, more firepower as well as more brainpower (es3tag is an experienced player). All in all, it's a bag of mixed emotions. I've always seen Fnatic and NiP as Swedish Powerhouses, so it's kinda weird xD. Regardless, all the best!
