YEKINDAR and es3tag captain teams in PGL Major All-Star game

Team Smoke and Team Flash will compete for bragging rights.

PGL has announced the participants for the showmatch taking place ahead of the grand finals. Patrick "⁠es3tag⁠" Hansen and Mareks "⁠YEKINDAR⁠" Gaļinskis were chosen to captain and draft their own squads from the pool of available players still in Antwerp, and Frankie "⁠Frankie⁠" Ward and James "⁠BanKs⁠" Banks will stand behind the players in the coaching position.

The best-of-one match will take place at 18:00 and will be played at the Antwerps Sportpaleis. The map on which the game will be played has not been announced.

Team Smoke will take on Team Flash ahead of the grand final

Team Smoke, captained by Ninjas in Pyjamas's own es3tag and coached by Frankie were granted the first pick and quickly snatched one of the tournament's standout performers, Lotan "⁠Spinx⁠" Giladi. Alongside him, Jakob "⁠jabbi⁠" Nygaard and Marco "⁠Snappi⁠" Pfeiffer were also selected, giving the team some needed youth and experience before rounding out their squad with René "⁠TeSeS⁠" Madsen.

Team Flash's representatives YEKINDAR and BanKs responded by drafting Nico "⁠nicoodoz⁠" Tamjidi and Rigon "⁠rigoN⁠" Gashi in an attempt to inject some FPL energy into their squad. Robert "⁠Patsi⁠" Isyanov and Russel "⁠Twistzz⁠" Van Dulken were the next selections, but due to FaZe's run to the final, the Canadian was replaced by Flash's first sub, Ismail "⁠refrezh⁠" Ali.

The teams have been drafted, and with trash talk already flowing on social media, the show match is set to kickstart the last day of 2022's first Major.

Part of me sincerely hoped they'd do something similar like in Stockholm, where they got in CPF (underdog and never played stage lan) vs retired or older pros from Sweden like GeT_RiGhT... I was hoping for the same, where we'd see BNE (Underdog and never played stage lan) vs maybe Fallen, some other older pros and our good ol ScreaM who's Belgian Idk.. Will be a fun match too don't get me wrong, but I really wanted BNE to have a lan Infront of the crowd at least once cause of just how much of a miracle run they've done (very similar to CPF in last major)
