Cloud9 sweep ENCE 3-0 to win IEM Dallas
The majority-Russian squad won over the American crowd with their trophy run.
21:25 nafany: "I probably don't understand it yet"
After lifting the trophy, Cloud9 players spoke to James "BanKs" Banks on stage, with Vladislav "nafany" Gorshkov being the first one to share his thoughts after the win.
"Honestly, I probably don't understand it yet. I have a lot of different emotions, but we just really needed this win and I'm happy that we did it," the caller said.
"I'm really at home," he added about the support in Dallas. "A lot of people support us and it means a lot to us."
"I told you guys, we are going to win some LAN tournaments, we are going to win a lot of tournaments in the future," Abay "HObbit" Khassenov said when asked how proud of his team and their success he was. "We are going to bring a lot of tournaments to Cloud9".

21:20 Cloud9 give no chance to ENCE
No slip-ups, no mistakes, Cloud9 close it out convincingly. HObbit and Timofey "interz" Yakushin got a double each on the pistol and cleaned up the remaining rounds to take a 3-0 win for the series.

21:10 nafany's anime team is back in control
Losing against a low-buy sucked all of the air out of ENCE, it seems. After the early back and forths it was all Cloud9 who did allow ENCE to get into the B bombsite, but won the aim duels and the rounds time after time to finish the half with a huge lead.
20:57 Cloud9 lead, but ENCE are keeping up
It is do or die time for ENCE. They start on the more difficult T-side of Ancient but need to get into the game early if they want to ensure the series goes the distance.
Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov being on point from the start is making it difficult, though, the AWPer sits at 15-4 K-D and 4-0 opening duels record just 9 rounds in.
20:29 Valiant attempt, but not enough
The game was hectic from that point onwards, with seven consecutive rounds traded by the two teams. Usually, CT's would falter in these situations due to the economy, but good economy management and a low buy win allowed Cloud9 to stay afloat and eventually squeeze out the victory, 16-11.

20:10 Force buy keeps ENCE alive
A pistol round win made it look like Cloud9 were going to close out the map in no time and send us to Ancient, but Pavle "Maden" Bošković got a double with the Deagle to recover the 3v5 and win the force that opened the doors of the comeback.
19:59 Painful half for Snappi and co.
Using out the whole clock and painstakingly taking map control worked out perfectly for Cloud9, who found themselves with a massive lead going into the second half of Overpass. sh1ro stood out the most, but it was a team effort from the majority-Russian side.
19:36 T side looking comfortable
HObbit continued on the second map where he ended on the first, posting three multi-kills in six rounds as Cloud9 got up to a solid lead on the inferior side of their map pick.
19:10 Near-flawless defense and activated HObbit put Cloud9 1-0 up
The two teams were trading blows from 10-10 to 12-12, but Cloud9 kept their head above water for long enough for HObbit to come alive.

The veteran picked up a crucial 1v1 that saw his team get ahead for the first time on Mirage (13-12) and then added three consecutive multikills to close out the game.

18:52 Cloud9 melt away ENCE's lead
In next to no time, Cloud9 equalized things on Mirage with a 5-0 streak after switching to the defensive side of the map, support player interz currently sitting on top of the scoreboard.
18:40 Sides swap with ENCE in a significant lead
A lot of damage on an eco and a successful hit worked wonders for Cloud9, breaking ENCE's economy and seeing the Russian side climb up to five rounds. Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer's team still stayed strong and finished the CT side with 10 rounds. Maden on the A defense stood out with 4-0 in opening duels, 5 multikills, and a 15-9 K-D.
Can Cloud9 turn it around?
18:26 Strong CT side for the international team
Picking to start on the offensive side of Mirage isn't paying off for Cloud9 so far. Maden, Paweł "dycha" Dycha, and Olek "hades" Miskiewicz are all on 10+ frags as ENCE sit 8-2 ahead.
18:06 ENCE take pistol, tech pause breaks momentum
A double from Maden on the Dualies set up ENCE to win the first round of the grand final, but what seems like an audio issue for Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski put a quick halt to the game. Admins are looking into the issue.

17:50 The veto is in - we start on Mirage
The pick-ban didn't provide many surprises in this BO5 as ENCE removed their permaban Inferno and Cloud9 did the same with Nuke, not repeating the mistake they did against FaZe at the PGL Major Antwerp.
The full veto is as follows:
1. ENCE removed Inferno
2. Cloud9 removed Nuke
3. ENCE picked Mirage
4. Cloud9 picked Overpass
5. ENCE picked Ancient
6. Cloud9 picked Vertigo
7. Dust2 was left over

17:40 Crowd favorites or Polish power - who will come out on top?
ENCE and Cloud9 will shortly step up on the stage of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center and kick off the BO5 final of the $250,000 IEM Dallas. The winner will take home $100,000, the iconic IEM plate, and join the race for the $1,000,000 Intel Grand Slam.

For both teams, this would be a first tournament win of this caliber. While Cloud9 dominated in the online era, winning three IEM events in 2021 as Gambit, they are yet to repeat that success in a crowd-filled arena.
For ENCE this would be a similarly big feat. The organization did find success with their all-Finnish lineup in 2019, but never reached a higher world ranking then their current one, as they sit at No. 3 in the world.
After a victory over FaZe in the quarters, Cloud9 won over the fans in the arena, with chants for the organization and individual players heard as they took down BIG in the semis. However, super-sub, Major winner, and former member of the iconic Virtus.pro squad Snax will surely have quite a few people cheering for ENCE as well.
