JACKZ free to explore options outside of G2 - Report

The rifler may be on the outs from the lineup as they look to make changes in the off-season.

According to a report from 1pv.fr, Audric "⁠JACKZ⁠" Jug has been allowed to explore options outside of G2, implying he may not be a part of their plans after the tournament break comes to an end. The Frenchman is currently the longest-standing member of the G2 lineup, having been a part of various rosters for over three and a half years.

JACKZ's tenure on G2 spans back to the organization's French lineup that included Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon and Kenny "⁠kennyS⁠" Schrub, with the 26-year-old remaining on the team as they transitioned to various iterations of international rosters over the following years.

JACKZ may not be a part of G2's future plans

Although the team have managed a number of notable grand final appearances with him, they have been unable to break through the final barrier and take home a big event title, with the additions of Ilya "⁠m0NESY⁠" Osipov and Aleksi "⁠Aleksib⁠" Virolainen at the start of the year also proving unsuccessful in changing that pattern.

Often cited by other members of the team as a selfless player whose personality plays a large part in contributing to a positive team atmosphere, JACKZ possibly being on the outs would mark a shift in G2's plans for the remainder of the year.

The report follows in the wake of an announcement from Aleksib, who had also announced on Twitter shortly before the end of IEM Cologne that he had been allowed to explore options elsewhere. However, HLTV.org understands that Aleksib isn't officially benched on G2 as of yet, leaving the future of the team uncertain as they evaluate possible changes during the break.

hunter said in some interview that when they went to some resort as a team they've done actual reaction time test (not the internet one) and jackz scored as high as best fighter pilots which is basically as high as it gets for humans. best fighter pilots can read information when shown for 4-5ms, tests were done with 240hz monitors and fighter pilots can recognize some information displayed for just one frame. Even recognize words, images, faces etc.

Stop whatever you're smoking, because an big org like faze won't kick their oldest team player who stayed there is all the shuffle and ups and downs and adjusted himself for whatever posi or role team needed on the fact of he might not play good enough in future after winning huge trophies in the current year. It's not about stats always, sometimes the chemistry between players and the atmosphere of the team which brings best out of everyone as a team, rain or any player in faze don't need to give goot stats in every single series they play because when it's needed the most as we have seen this year one of them steps up and rest just backs and supports them and that's the thing is working for them right now, he's not going anywhere since karrigan and him are the oldest friends and have much better understanding in the team, why would you risk it for someone who just have good stats than him but aint played for more than one international rosters yet? Rain is far ahead in terms of exp of international roster, they have good enough fire power with ropz and twizzt as well. I don't see a point faze make an roster change unless they fail to win grand slam this year.

Thank for support my theory that Cold only had 2 good years and when he arrived at Faze he was already a ghost of himself struggling to get out of 1.05 rating. About ego clashing, he was close friend with NiKo that's why he moved to Faze or why he was the second caller. It's actually much worse in case of G2 because of Hunter, who obviously will support Niko and make him feel like he owns G2. There is no igl in the world (either free or contracted) who would put himself in this team. There are only two options for them - either niko and Hunter will split (which simply wont happen) or one of them will take on igl role.

this is the only correct take. you can't have Niko as "secondary caller but we do everything I want" and a proper IGL at the same time, it just isn't a functional setup. especially if hunter also wants his own space. Niko needs to either accept his place as a star rifler with some freedom but no calling, or take up IGLing fulltime so G2 find a good entry and a good support that can work well with the remaining 3

+1, they simply aren't giving the rosters even nearly enough time. Last roster just started looking competitive and they pulled the plug. This roster had some promise aswell and again they pulled the plug too early. 6 months is not nearly enough for a completely overhauled roster. There isnt such a team in csgo history that had instant results and was a consistent contender for longer period of time. Only flukes. Every great team took a long ass fucking time to get to the top and stay there.

faze took nearly a year and + ropz to win a trophy, navi had a few hiccups here and there and took some time to develop perfecto and b1t into the roster. gambit took 3 years of grinding together to see tourney wins (online tho and a bit after acquiring hobbit) and got their first lan win this year if I'm correct, nearly 4 years after. Idk when big orgs will learn how long it takes for a roster to pop off and find themselves

The thing is how many changes have happened to them doesn't matter because who every left this teams never ad a reason of ego clashes or tilting problema ( might be few) but most of them were because not getting trophies, while in nikos matter we can all clearly see that this tilting machine have always created chaos in teams doesn't matter how good players he got in his team or igl's. The team he joins probably dies good for honeymoon period and then falls down even more than their actual level. And if you think niko didn't got the good team or support as igl idk what more he needs to win coz i just can't name better igl and team players he got while playing for faze and g2, you have to admit that there's is something different in niko which clearly makes other players you mentioned better than him as team players.

I wouldn't mind personally the Snappi and maden approach, it might actually work decently, just unsure how Snappi fits into this team but there's not much alternatives out there as far as IGL goes, like a controversial Boombl4 move is one but I'd rather take Snappi + maden package honestly because maden knows the kovacs and if anything appears to be important to NiKo and Hunter it's to have people with the same wavelength on the team. Unsure if Snappi fits within the mindset but maden would probably fit very nicely though, as in I think he would perform even better than he has in ENCE.

Don't listen to me, listen from what pros say. Example: *Hunter rating was low back then, so they bringing back jackz on the server after the latter was benched previously. Hunter mentioned "having him on the server means more space for me" (Translation: This will give hunter positive k/d, and better rating, as his now has bait). *XTQZZZ, "It wasn't possible to have nexa, huNTer, aleksib, and NiKo - too many voices" and he never mentioned jackz being one of them. (translation: jackz has limited space on the team, no voice for him to do what he wants to do) *Twistzz said in interview with hltv confirmed, jackz has no space on the team. Saying, who will be replaced Jackz, who will playing the biggest position that do everything for his teammates (read: bitch role). People expect his postive k/d, his good rating yet ignore the fact that jackz play a role with limited space on the team. Anchor role just a surface. Vitality should get him and add shox. (-dupreeh, -magisk) Shifting back to a french speaking roster would eliminate all the communication barriers currently slowing down vitality's huge potential. The differences would be night and day. JACKZ can be a hard hitter sometimes so in terms of firepower it wouldn't be that big of a downgrade.

I think if they -Aleksib +Boombl4 to help JaCkz in the IGL calls and to distribute between Jackz and Boombl4 the entry and support roles and the hard spots, this team could easily be a top 3-4 team.

You will see that problem were Aleksib - strict IGL (can outcall SOMETIMES other IGLs) Jackz - no gamesense (yes, very good aimer ngl) Nexa was so good IGL, for trio Monesy Niko Hunter it would be perfect to have Nexa or Boombl4 and agressive Yekindar with insane aim and gamesense

Wdym by strict IGL? IGL stands for In Game Leader, I have seen Karrigan refusing to timeout even his coach asked him to do so, so Karrigan is not a good IGL for you? And wdym by no gamesense, Jackz is the one that need to find information and map control, playing as anchor, of course he is going to do it with some risk. It is unbelievable when role players getting snubbed and criticized all the time because they are playing supportive role and dont have good stats.

And with that mentality, it's very rare nowadays seeing young guys willing to be an IGL or be setting up his teammates. No one wants to sacrifice himself to make other shine because they're obsessed by stats. A lot of players are focusing on aim & being better mechanically while it's just a small part of the game. No one wants to get all the shit and it's understandable.

I don't think G2 should change 2 players at once, that didn't bring them anything a few months ago. Although I think that the signing of Aleksib was a complete failure, I think that he should now be left in the team and finally understand what the problem is, igl or jackz. My pick for Jackz's replacement is Patsi. A young player with incredible aim. If there is no progress in the next few months, then you can consider hiring a new igl and later a new coach.

If they get 2 good replacements and still doesn't work then the only option is to disband, NiKo probably won't work well in any team but hunter also comes as a package (if -NiKo happens then probably -Hunter as well) and well m0nesy is a bit hit n miss, I think disband is the only option if this time it won't work out.
