Sprout complete roster with refrezh and Zyphon

The signing of the pair brings Sprout back to full strength.

Sprout have finalised their lineup ahead of the new season with the additions of Ismail "⁠refrezh⁠" Ali and Rasmus "⁠Zyphon⁠" Nordfoss. The former joins the team to take over in-game leadership, a role he will fill for the first time in his career.

The incoming duo come in as replacements for Timo "⁠Spiidi⁠" Richter and Rasmus "⁠raalz⁠" Steensborg, with the pair leaving the squad just over a fortnight ago.

refrezh is back in the server after a short spell on Heroic's bench

Sprout have spent most of the year so far playing in tier-two competitions with mixed results to show for it, notably finishing 5th-6th in ESL Challenger League Season 41 and 3rd-4th at ESL Challenger Valencia, but also bowing out joint last at ESL Pro League Season 16 Conference.

The first of two Danish injections the organisation hopes will elevate the side to the next level comes in the form of refrezh, who links up with the squad after spending just over a year with HEROIC before being benched back in June.

The 24-year-old helped the roster to first-place finishes at ESL Pro League Season 13 and, more recently, the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022, whilst also putting up a 1.02 rating over his year-long tenure.

Rounding out the new-look roster is Zyphon who makes the jump to Sprout on the back of a quarter-final appearance at the PGL Antwerp Major with Copenhagen Flames. The 18-year-old was his side's most valuable player at that event, averaging a team-high 1.09 rating across the 12 maps played.

Sprout's new roster will be debuting in the IEM Road to Rio open qualifier getting started later today while also participating in the upcoming season of ESL Challenger League where they look to build on their aforementioned 5th-6th place finish.

Braindead Danish CSGO is still at it's peak Country representation at the PGL major Denmark had 32,5%(No.1) of the total players. slaxz was insane in aTTaX but he was kinda choking in Sprout. I guess it's the inexperience and the pressure that made him not perform at the level he can. Hope he can now pop off with an insane team around him

Yea.. tier playfield is something, I think the same can be applied to Jackinho. On academy league he was showing potential, at tier1/2 matchers was just poor perf. Maybe slax lvl is enough just for tier2? We will see : P

Tbh slaxz looked flashy and insane in 2020 against top 30-50 teams so I guess his problem isn't that he isn't good enough but rather His mental that he just isn't able to do the same against better teams (kinda like jackinho and kyojin) I really hope that slaxz can consistantly perform at T1 cs, I like him as a person and player. He got a good chance to show people what he's capable of and I hope that he takes it. Time will tell how this Sprout will do

Should be an elite t2 team but doubt they will find consistency in t1. They definitely have the potential to be dark horses and make a surprise run here or there when the stars align but not gonna be betting favorites in anything outside of t2
