schadE halt disqualified from Elisa Invitational Fall amid match-fixing suspicions *

A new case of alleged match-fixing has been brought to light after Elisa Esports disqualified a team from the Fall Invitational.

Update 19:00 : Rand "⁠Rand⁠" Kadir, who played in one of the two matches in question, has released a Twitlonger in which he distances himself from the rest of the team and vows that he hasn't "made one cent of profit from these games."

Elisa Esports has announced that it has disqualified schadE halt from the Elisa Invitational Fall Contenders event.

The tournament's organizers stated that they have been alerted by a third party about suspicious behavior taking place in schadE halt's matches against PROSPECTS and yodagus, indicating that the match outcomes were manipulated by the German-Ukrainian-Polish mixture.

The organizers have further stated that they have passed the information along to Finnish authorities and to other tournament organizers and the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC).

Elisa Esports have not shared more details about how the results were allegedly fixed or in what way the team was supposed to benefit. schadE halt lost the former match 1-2 and won the latter 2-1, losing their map picks of Inferno and Overpass by huge margins, 16-2 and 16-1, respectively.

The team used the same four players in both matches: former TTC members Daniel "⁠KrowNii⁠" Michel and Thomas "⁠powerYY⁠" Becker, ex-HellRaisers and pro100 player Sergey "⁠smike⁠" Sklyarenko, and Gabriel "⁠gab⁠" Jaroszuk. Rand played in the first match before he was replaced by Bogdan "⁠Bodik⁠" Nastych in the second.

The lineup later also played in the SteelSeries NOVA Cup DACH Fall, placing third-fourth there following a win over ALTERNATE aTTaX and losses to Sangal and Sprout.
