Vitality have edged past FaZe to become the No.1 ranked team in our world rankings, marking the French organization's return to the top spot since they last occupied the throne in December 2020 and for the first time with their international roster.

Dan "⁠apEX⁠" Madesclaire's side move into the No. 1 spot thanks to a combination of them winning ESL Pro League Season 16 and FaZe losing points following the removal of IEM Cologne from the recent events subranking, as well as due to just three tournaments taking place since the tournament break came to an end.

Vitality have taken the No.1 spot ahead of the BLAST Showdown

NAVI fell out of the top three for more or less the first time since they moved Valeriy "⁠b1t⁠" Vakhovskiy to their starting lineup, their last drop below that threshold occurring in May 2021 following the removal of Egor "⁠flamie⁠" Vasilyev.

Other notable changes included Outsiders re-entering the top ten after gaining five spots following their RMR results and their win at ESL Challenger Rotterdam this past weekend. Conversely, Astralis and Movistar Riders continued their downward trend since their IEM Cologne highs, dropping five and eight spots, respectively.

S1mple was major finalist, semifinalist, won a few events, and most importantly singlehandedly carried hellraisers against fnatic which was the reason the olofboost was imployed Edit: if you are asking what has simple to do with the Olofboost let me explain, besically if fnatic won their match against hellraisers on DH 2014, they would have been able to meet LDLC only in the finals, but since simple overperformed and carried them, they didn't and so, that semifinal match took place

EPL was a big event yes, but it shouldnt be enough to instantly de-throne FaZe and NaVi. HLTV doesnt want to show their fabulous algorithm? thats fine, but dont expect us to swallow everything you throw to the users. The rankings have been crooked since the summer break in June, now its obvious the decay of one event (Cologne) is simply too impactful. yeah, thats how it feels, at least to me. HLTV already admitted that after Cologne, the rankings were heavily influenced by the summer break. we saw Mouz, Asstralis, Movi and Liquid really high in the rankings, and it only changed after EPL, and we KNOW this was due to the Cologne ranking. EPL ended on October 2nd. For ~4 months now, we are witness of a shitty ranking, heavily based on Cologne standings. My prediction: HLTV will put BennieF in Players top 10 cuz HLTV Rating 2.0 Warrior, and Astralis "was like 5 months in top 10". But we KNOW thats not a display of reality.

You say that, but if you actually watch their games with thought, you can see that their gameplan revolves around Yeki getting solopicks on the other side of the map (in a default). How is that a team effort, when their rounds are decided by the success of Yekis duels Not saying there is anything wrong in riding his ridiculous form, but it has not been a team effort so far. The HLTV ranking algorithm needs to be fixed post player breaks. It is clear that too few results counts too much on the backside of them. I'd suggest the three month window is expanded with the length of any official player break that happened during those three months.
