1WIN and Sprout eliminated from Europe RMR

Both squads leave the Major-qualifying event in Copenhagen with a 1-3 record.

1win and Sprout are the next two teams to suffer elimination from the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Europe RMR A after their respective losses in the 1-2 pool. 1win were comfortably bested by OG in their respective clash, while Sprout were eliminated by Apeks on the B stream.

1win's campaign started well with a victory against Bad News Eagles but went downhill straight after that. Losses against fnatic and GamerLegion relegated them to the elimination match, where a loss ended their dream of qualifying for Paris.

Sprout's elimination puts an end to a lackluster event for the European combine. While they weren't a lock-in to make the Major, their performances have been nothing short of disappointing. Their tournament started with losses against Falcons and Into the Breach, and while they got a solitary win against underdogs Viperio, they were no match for the Apeks side.

Their respective wins mean that Apeks and OG fight on in the tournament. They will have a chance to qualify for Paris in Sunday's 2-2 pool, with their opponents set to be decided after the culmination of the third day of play. In case of a loss on Sunday, they will get another chance in the Last Chance Qualifier, where all 2-3 teams from the two EU RMRs are set to clash for one more spot at the Major.

If Justinas "⁠jL⁠" Lekavicius keeps up his 1.24 rated form at the Danish event, then Apeks should have a decent chance of qualifying for the organization's first Major. OG, who are still playing without a dedicated IGL, will also hope their individual prowess carries them through their next test, with star duo of Shahar "⁠flameZ⁠" Shushan and Abdul "⁠degster⁠" Gasanov looking to find form at the right time.
