Official: Twistzz returns to Liquid

The Canadian rifler returns to the side he departed three years ago.

Liquid have officially announced the addition of Russel "⁠Twistzz⁠" Van Dulken, completing the rebuild of the squad that began with the signing of Felipe "⁠skullz⁠" Medeiros earlier in the week.

Casper "⁠cadiaN⁠" Møller and Wilton "⁠zews⁠" Prado have also been brought into the fold as part of Liquid's ambitious revamp, with the latter having been responsible for putting the new lineup together.

Official: cadiaN joins Liquid

With the addition of Twistzz Liquid are once again a majority-Americas core, and thus will have to qualify via the Americas for the PGL Major Copenhagen, which is set to take place early next year. Liquid have no tournament appearances scheduled before 2024.

Dust2.us first reported that Twistzz had reached a verbal agreement with Liquid back in October, and ever since the community had wondered whether the rifler might reverse his decision in light of FaZe's dominance at the start of CS2, although that was never likely.

Twistzz returns to Liquid amidst much fanfare, having been part of the roster that dominated the scene in the middle of 2019, winning a staggering five elite tournaments in a row, securing an Intel Grand Slam, and rising to No. 1 in the world rankings.

The Canadian left Liquid to pursue his fortunes in Europe with FaZe at the start of 2021, and went on to win a plethora of Big Event trophies and secure another Intel Grand Slam. He is now firmly the most decorated North American player of all time.

No, it does not. Hltv has a North America flag that is 50% U.S. and 50% Canada. There is even an Americas and a South America flag. The U.S. flag isn't and shouldn't normally be used to represent countries other than the U.S.A. itself.
