The German rifler has found a new home after spending two years with BIG.

BLEED have announced the signing of rifler Josef "⁠faveN⁠" Baumann, picking up the German after seven months spent on BIG's bench.

faveN is the second signing of BLEED's first foray into Counter-Strike, led by head coach Aleksandar "⁠kassad⁠" Trifunović, and he joins in-game leader Hampus "⁠hampus⁠" Poser on the roster.

"Now under the BLEED banner, faveN is eager to test his mettle against the game's elite once again," BLEED said in a statement regarding faveN's addition. "BLEED's ambition to compete at the highest level is evident, and faveN's experience and skillset provide a vital piece of the puzzle."

faveN spent the last two years with premier German Counter-Strike squad BIG, having made a name for himself on Sprout earlier in his career. He notably helped BIG win Roobet Cup 2022 and attended PGL Major Antwerp with the team, with his last appearance coming at the CCT 2023 Online Finals 1 in May.

BIG sign faveN in transfer of "unprecedented size in German CS"

During his tenure with BIG, faveN averaged a respectable 1.05 rating but struggled to live up to the sizeable expectations that accompanied his arrival in the side, having been transferred in what was "the most expensive deal for a German player" at the time.

After lacking for consistent positive results BIG removed faveN from their active lineup as part of a three-player overhaul during this year's summer player break.

TSM has a single player that does anything, that being Valde, while he is also the IGL... Cypher has been playing like dog, just like he always did except that one time in paris. interz is a support who does nothing fragging wise JackZ is somehow their worst player Modo is not getting enough done for being an awper. These guys are playing t2 / t3 and struggling heavily... Faven & hampus with another 3 players on their level will destroy them. Im not saying that bleed is gonna be a top 10 team, but easily top 25 I mean faven did incredible playing t2, it just didn't work out for him in t1, he even hit #16 in the world with sprout at some point.
