Complexity and Wildcard claim Americas RMR spots
Complexity bounced back from a scare versus NRG on day one to qualify with ease on day two.

Day two of the North American closed qualifier for the PGL Major Copenhagen Americas RMR has drawn to a close.
The third set of Swiss stage matches concluded with two squads, Complexity and Wildcard securing qualification for the event in Monterrey, Mexico. Meanwhile, two more sides, Vagrants and FLUFFY AIMERS bowed out without notching a single win in their closed qualifier campaigns.

After a terrifying finish to day one for Complexity, which saw the squad eke out a win over NRG, Complexity recovered nicely on day two with a dominant win over Party Astronauts, denying the Astronauts the chance to procure a single round on Anubis before cleaning up the series 2-0 after a 13-6 win on Inferno.
Wildcard's qualification match proved to be far more strenuous than Complexity's, as M80 were determined to not go down without a fight. Both sides garnered initial leads on their own map picks that were each whittled away by their opponents, before Wildcard and Complexity closed things out on their respective picks of Inferno and Vertigo.
Anubis followed a similar formula to the previous two maps, as Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz's troops on Wildcard secured a 12-7 lead on the T side that M80 clawed back against in order to secure overtime. Despite a monstrous showing from imported AWPer Fritz "slaxz-" Dietrich, M80 could not get it over the line as Wildcard won out the map 19-17.

While Complexity and Wildcard celebrated their successful runs, Vagrants and FLUFFY AIMERS had to reckon with early eliminations from the closed qualifier. After Vagrants fumbled leads over Nouns and Wildcard in their first two matches, Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue and co. were unable to turn their fortunes around versus Cloud 10, seeing them depart the qualifier with a 0-3 record.
The other elimination match at hand saw domestic side FLUFFY AIMERS square off against Brazilian visitors LOS in a hard-fought series. After trading their map picks with two 13-7 scorelines, Jhonatan "JOTA" Willian and co. dominated on the decider of Ancient to dash FLUFFY AIMERS' hopes of reaching Mexico.
In addition to the all-important qualification and elimination matches, several games were also played out between the squads starting the day with 1-1 records. The most notable result among these saw Liquid survive a close match versus Badass, edging out the Mirage BO1 with a 13-11 scoreline.
NRG suffered their second defeat of the qualifier, this time at the hands of Nouns, putting Damian "daps" Steele's men on the brink of elimination ahead of the last day of the qualifier. The final 1-1 results saw BOSS and Rocket best their respective opponents of my life be like and Carpe Diem to put them both within just one win from RMR qualification.
The final matches of the closed qualifier are set to be played on Sunday, with the following schedule for the remaining games:
