FlyQuest sign ex-Grayhound roster
The Australian team have found a home ahead of their upcoming international LAN appearances.

North American organization FlyQuest have announced the signing of the former Grayhound roster, who have recently been competing as Jeeves. Grayhound ceased operations recently after their failure to qualify for PGL Major Copenhagen, the team disappointingly finishing third at the Asia RMR after losses to The MongolZ and Lynn Vision.

The signing of the Jeeves roster marks FlyQuest's first foray into men's Counter-Strike, with the organization having signed Impact stalwarts FlyQuest RED in June of last year.
Christopher "dexter" Nong's troops will be confident of qualifying for the upcoming Major after The MongolZ earned Asia an extra spot in Shanghai with their top-16 run in Copenhagen.
However, FlyQuest President and CGO Christopher "PapaSmithy" Smith, who is Australian, rejected the notion that the signing is tied to the region's increased number of Major slots.
"For me, Grayhound falling on rough times served as a metaphor for the current state of the Australian esports scene," he told HLTV. "With publisher support at an all-time low, being able to set this roster up for success and act as a benchmark for what a successful esports team based in Australia can look like is a very personal mission for me.
"This decision wasn’t about the best entry point into Counter-Strike or a zero-sum game around Majors, it’s about providing another generation of Aussie FPS fans with a team to root for as they fight for respect internationally."
Questioned about how the practice issues often encountered by Oceanic sides will be dealt with, Stephanie "missharvey" Harvey, FlyQuest's Chief Culture Officer, said that the organization is committed to providing the necessary conditions for the team to thrive.
"FlyQuest is determined to invest in the team’s growth by adding resources to the already existing squad," missharvey stated. "While a fresh EU bootcamp schedule is already in the works for the next few months, we also acknowledge the quick turnaround required from both parties to unite for IEM Chengdu’s paperwork deadline.
"We will need to get to know each other a bit more to define what exactly is needed from FlyQuest and also for the team to play at their best. One thing is for sure, you can expect FlyQuest to support this new team with the same amount of care it has given to our other divisions."
The Australian team will make its first appearance under FlyQuest's banner at IEM Chengdu on April 8. They will take on Cloud9 in the opening round of Group B, which also includes FaZe, Astralis, Virtus.pro, Nemiga, Monte and Wildcard.
