refrezh's squad is on the lookout for a new organization

Preasy have announced that they have parted ways with their Counter-Strike roster with immediate effect. The news comes after the team failed to make it to the Copenhagen Major and the failure of the organization's sale.

Preasy put up for sale

On X/Twitter, Preasy stated that "just last week, a potential buyer backed out at the last minute," which left them with no option but to release the team "given the challenges that lie within the core business that finances Preasy Esport."

The organization also shared that they have promoted their Preasy Rising project to the main team, with the squad set to be Preasy's sole team in Counter-Strike as the organization "strives to carry the banner forward and continue to nurture talent development in Danish CS."

Preasy entered CS in June of 2023 but made a big overhaul of the roster less than two months later by assembling a roster headlined by Ismail "⁠refrezh⁠" Ali and Nico "⁠nicoodoz⁠" Tamjidi. The team was ever present at the fringes of the top 30 in the world rankings but lost nicoodoz to HEROIC at the end of the year.

Preasy go AWPer-less with dupreeh signing

That left them without an AWPer, and the team decided to sign Peter "⁠dupreeh⁠" Rasmussen ahead of their Copenhagen Major RMR campaign, where they missed out on qualification with a 1-3 record. The Danish veteran then left the team for Falcons, with Kristoffer "⁠Kristou⁠" Aamand chosen as his replacement.

The team's coach, Daniel "⁠Vorborg⁠" Vorborg, has stated that the roster intends to keep playing together and is looking for an organization to represent.

Hope they stick all 5 togheter, team as looking good , even won just now a tourney with Kristou as AWP This team with a proper awp like dev1ce, would be better than actual astralis with dev1ce,.... There is not enough "sponsor money" in the danish scene for multiple tier 1 teams. Time and time again shows that these low budget tier 2-4 teams who get succes and reach T1 for a tournament or two, never persist. If they succeed individuals get bought out to a bigger org. IMO Preasy reaching for T1 was doomed whenever it began.
