Metizport have found their substitute in the form of the ex-NIP player.

Plopski will play for Metizport in Brazil

Metizport have announced that Nicolas "⁠Plopski⁠" Gonzalez Zamora will be subbing in for the team at Global Esports Tour Rio, set to take place from April 18-20. The 21-year-old will step into the shoes of Linus "⁠nilo⁠" Bergman, who will miss out on the tournament due to academic reasons.

Plopski is most known for his time in Ninjas in Pyjamas, having represented the organization for three and a half years. He twice made the Major playoffs at PGL Major Stockholm 2021 and PGL Major Antwerp 2022 but was removed at the end of 2022 after a period of lackluster results for the team.

He then joined GODSENT at the start of 2023 and averaged a 1.07 rating across his tenure, helping the team peak at No. 43 in the world rankings. He also won the IESF World Championship 2023 title with a Sweden roster led by Erik "⁠ztr⁠" Gustafsson, but became a free agent in March after GODSENT released their team following a loss of sponsor.

The 21-year-old has big shoes to fill before his Metizport debut, as he will be replacing the red-hot nilo, who has averaged a 1.20 rating in 2024 so far. Metizport have been matched up against Imperial in the first round, with FURIA and 9z also placed on the same side of the bracket.
