Gizmy returns to Monte academy

Gizmy has now joined ryu in being moved back to the academy squad after Monte's EPL exit.

Gizmy ends a short-lived stint on the main roster

Monte have announced the return of Jack "⁠Gizmy⁠" von Spreckelsen to Monte Gen after the main team's exit from the first round of the ESL Pro League playoffs. He joins Gytis "⁠ryu⁠" Glušauskas, who was sent back to the academy squad last week.

Gizmy was promoted to the main team alongside ryu in March to replace Viktor "⁠sdy⁠" Orudzhev and Alexander "⁠br0⁠" Bro and averaged a respectable 1.04 rating during his tenure, but the squad experienced mixed fortunes overall.

A playoff appearance at ESL Pro League Season 19 was a solid return for the new-look side, but the team fell in last place at GET Rio and struggled in online competition.

Monte reach EPL playoffs at FURIA's expense

"Things could have gone different that might have changed this," the young Brit said in a statement on X. "But in the end it’s a fair decision."

Monte have less than two weeks to fill the vacancies on their roster before travelling to the United States for IEM Dallas, which will have $250,000 on offer.

With Gizmy's departure, Monte now have the following roster:

Why

he was not ready for t1, if he stayed on monte good chance that he gets kicked in a few months and goes without an offer then career over now that he's back on academy he has a chance to actually develop, he and ryu showed some (key word being some) good stuff but also a lot of bad stuff, much better that he has a position where he can actually develop as a player and focus on university than rush into "t 1.5"

well for demqq there is an event called "the Akuma incident", pretty much the entirety of CIS accused them of radar hack...
