Spirit rise to No. 1 for first time in history
The team around chopper ride into the mid-year tournament break atop the team rankings table after lifting the Spring Final trophy.

Spirit have claimed the status of No. 1 in the world in HLTV's Team Rankings following their title-winning campaign at BLAST Premier Spring Final over Natus Vincere.

The Russian team previously peaked at No. 2 for three weeks following their prodigious run to the IEM Katowice trophy in February, but couldn't convert upon their favored status at PGL Major Copenhagen and fell to FaZe in the quarter-finals.
Spirit's absence from ESL Pro League Season 19 and IEM Chengdu in the following months left them unable to climb the rankings further as MOUZ, FaZe, and Natus Vincere locked into a battle for No. 1.
Upon Danil "donk" Kryshkovets and company's return to top-tier competition, they lost series to MOUZ and Vitality to end BetBoom Dacha Belgrade and IEM Dallas as runners-up and in 3-4th place, respectively.

However, they ended the first half of 2024 the way they began, securing a title by completing a resounding run through BLAST Premier Spring Final with victories over G2, Virtus.pro, Vitality, and Natus Vincere to max out their achievement and form points.
The race below Spirit remains close, with Vitality and MOUZ split by just 31 points and FaZe ahead of Natus Vincere by just 57.
Vitality remain in second after consistently making deep playoff runs since their failure at IEM Katowice, finishing 3-4th at the Copenhagen Major and Spring Final and as the runners-up at EPL S19 and IEM Dallas. However, Dan "apEX" Madesclaire's side will still regret being left as the only team among the top six that failed to lift a trophy in the first six months of 2024 heading into the break.
Complexity gain a one-place boost after ending the American organization's 14-year LAN trophy drought at ESL Challenger Jönköping, while the rest of the top 15 remains largely the same with teams shuffling one or two places in either direction.
G2 also lost 20% of their points after the benching of Nemanja "nexa" Isaković earlier in the day, but the reduction in points did not affect their final standings heading into the break.
