Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024 SA RMR Closed QualifierKRÜ, RED Canids to Americas RMR, Fluxo miss out
arT will miss a Major for the first time since FACEIT London 2018.
KRÜ and RED Canids have secured the final Americas RMR spots on offer through the South America closed qualifier.
The former made it through as the 3-1 team with the higher Bucholz score following their win over Hype, while RED Canids had to square off against Fluxo in a fourth-place decider after the teams beat ODDIK and W7M, respectively, in the 2-1 pool.
Both RED Canids and Fluxo faced an uphill climb in the qualifier after losing their opening best-of-ones, but in the end, only the two-time Major champion's team managed to complete the journey and lock in the final spot.
RED Canids stole Fluxo's Ancient pick to start the series, but couldn't convert on Vertigo and needed the Dust2 decider — where Henrique "HEN1" Teles and David "dav1deuS" Tapia Maldonado mustered 1.65 and 1.60 ratings, respectively — to take home the win.
The result comes at the expense of Fluxo, making it the first Major that Andrei "arT" Piovezan will miss since FACEIT London Major 2018.
