Team ranking: September 2024
BLAST Fall Final and ESL Pro League S20 have shaken up this month's team ranking.

September marked the conclusion of the marathon ESL Pro League S20, where Natus Vincere claimed their third title of 2024, and the BLAST Fall Final, in which G2 halted their 0-9 streak against Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen's squad in the grand final.
The month also saw a plethora of other competitions, including local LAN tournaments like Tipsport Fall Cup 2024 Finals and MESA Pro Series Fall 2024 Stage 1, as well as YaLLa Compass Summer and three editions of the CCT Season 2 Europe series held online.
For new readers or those in need of a refresher, here's a summary of how the HLTV World Ranking by 1xBet works:
Our team ranking is based on teams' achievements over the past year (with severe decay in points throughout each month), recent form over the last two months, and performance in recent events in the last 3 months.
Each team is required to have a three-man core in order to retain their points. Online matches and tournaments are included, but with a diminishing factor which means they cannot make a big difference among the top teams, and mainly serve to put new teams on the map.
Below is the current top 30 table as of Monday, October 7, which goes more in-depth into how the points are distributed — or you can check our special page, where you will be able to find the latest, weekly version of our ranking. You can see the lineup for each team by hovering over their name in the table.

G2 shoot to second after Fall Final title
G2 had a busy offseason by adding Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa and Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski in place of Nemanja "nexa" Isaković and Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen, and the new-look squad has been a regular playoff attendee. They finished second at the Esports World Cup after a loss to Natus Vincere, 5-6th at IEM Cologne, and were eliminated in the semi-final of ESL Pro League by Aleksib's troops once again.
At the BLAST Fall Final, however, G2 went one better and halted Natus Vincere's nine-match winning streak against them, prompting Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač to jokingly exclaim that "nobody beats G2 10 times in a row."

Their tournament run, filled with highlights and broken tables, is their second title of the year following their victory at IEM Dallas, where Jake "Stewie2K" Yip stood in during a Cinderella run to the title.
The win proved enough for G2 to shoot to second in the world rankings, leapfrog Vitality, Spirit, and MOUZ, and reach their highest ranking since October 2023, when they were briefly ranked No. 1 after the release of CS2.
Eternal Fire reach their peak
Eternal Fire had a fantastic run of form lately, reaching two back-to-back finals at BetBoom Dacha Belgrade S2 and ESL Pro League S20. While they couldn't lift the trophy at either event, the Turkish squad was still able to reach their peak of No. 6 in the world rankings before dropping to No. 7 in the last update.
Their road to the final at BetBoom Dacha included impressive 2-0 victories over HEROIC, paiN, and MOUZ, but Spirit proved too much to handle as their title bid petered out in an 0-3 loss in the grand final.

The defeat didn't dampen their spirits, though, as Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli's squad traveled to Malta to reach their second grand final in a row after fighting through The MongolZ, Vitality, and MIBR in the playoffs.

Despite their fantastic run, Natus Vincere proved too stern of a test for Eternal Fire, who bowed out after a spirited performance during a grueling best-of-five final that went the distance. "I'm very sad. For the first time, I felt like we could win," stated MAJ3R in a post-match interview.
The runners-up finish in Malta saw Eternal Fire reach their highest peak to date at No. 6 and make history for their country.
SAW drop out of top 10
SAW had a breakout tournament at IEM Cologne, where they shocked the world by reaching the semi-final after beating G2, The MongolZ, and FaZe. Their form since the German event has been patchy, however, which has coincided with the team dropping out of the top 10.
The team qualified for the Shanghai Major RMR and ESL Challenger Katowice without difficulty, but their lack of an ESL Pro League S20 appearance left valuable ranking points on the table.

The Portuguese side recently attended ESL Challenger Atlanta, though, but their performances in the United States left much to be desired. SAW squeaked through the group stage with wins over Rooster and BetBoom, with Ricardo "roman" Oliveira admitting that the squad is not in their IEM Cologne form.
BIG then eliminated Christopher "MUTiRiS" Fernandes and company in the semi-final to consequently drop SAW out of the top 10 after they spent four weeks at No. 9.
New names enter the top 30
Three new names have entered the top 30 after the latest update, doing so thanks to their ESL Pro League S20 appearances.
Imperial shot up to No. 22 after defeating MOUZ and BIG in the group stage to qualify for the playoffs, where they lost to Danil "donk" Kryshkovets' Spirit.
Wildcard also gained 18 places after a 21-28th finish in Malta thanks to a solitary win against KOI and a playoff appearance at ESL Challenger Atlanta, where they made the semi-final despite playing without Love "phzy" Smidebrant.
The final new entrants are RED Canids, who came agonizingly close to the ESL Pro League S20 playoffs after wins against ENCE and Falcons but were bested by FURIA in the qualification clash.
