NRG win Fragadelphia 18 with undefeated run

NRG tasted success in their first LAN campaign with Jeorge.

NRG have claimed the Fragadelphia 18 title, doing so without dropping a single map in the process. It was the North American squad's first LAN outing since adding Jeorge "⁠Jeorge⁠" Endicott to the roster, who finished the event as their highest-rated player.

It was a comfortable run to the title for NRG, who only saw their opponents rack up a double digit score on two of the 10 maps they played. After breezing past underdogs Stand On Business and a Joshua "⁠steel⁠" Nissan's Undone, NRG passed their first real test by outclassing BOSS, who had beaten Nick "⁠nitr0⁠" Cannella and company in their last meeting in October.

NRG were then offered the stiffest resistance of their campaign in the upper final by Sharks, who pushed NRG hard over two maps thanks to powerful performances by Danilo "⁠doc⁠" Barros. Sharks took out BOSS to make it to the grand final for a rematch with NRG, but were easily beaten this time around to grant NRG their flawless title run.

Jeorge may have been NRG's highest-rated player but the entire squad thrived, with Josh "⁠oSee⁠" Ohm posting his best event rating since the summer and nitr0 and Jadan "⁠HexT⁠" Postma leading the scoreboard in the upper semi-final and final respectively.

Elsewhere in the event Sharks' 22-year-old rifler doc impressed, posting an event-leading 1.55 rating over 12 maps, with some of his best maps coming against the highest-ranked opposition on offer, like BOSS and Nouns.

The Brazilian's highlight performance came in a 13-10 win over Nouns on Mirage, where he posted 31 frags, 138 ADR, and a 2.14 rating over 26 rounds.

This was going to be a pretty obvious win for NRG from the very beginning. Nouns usually had their number but look at nouns lineup now. There was no way NRG was losing this tournament lol. And this sharks team is pretty much a bunch of nobodies but that doc guy did put up some good numbers I’ll give him that

Actually the new nouns lineup has right pieces, but this lineup needs practice together, rush told in the interview that they picked the two new players as a trial for NA revival cup without any practice at all, which nouns won against NRG, this time they had a minor slip us against BOSS which btw has been together for like forever and is a pretty competitive team, had they won against BOSS they could've easily beaten sharks as well, they had better game Vs sharks compared to BOSS, anyway I am happy how it turned out, much needed win for NRG going into EPL and Nouns came fourth with this lineup without any practice together, BOSS came third so they are making case for themselves to get picked

Yea I’m not discounting nouns situation, I know they have zero team chemistry at the moment. All the more reason this was NRG’s tournament to lose. I still don’t think this nouns roster at this time was going to be able to defeat NRG. We will see how things go for them in the near future with some practice

I was more just saying that NRG had an easy tournament because look at the opposition. NRG themselves are not that amazing but I already knew they were the best team at this tournament. Ngl getting 3k elo only shows u are grinding tho, doesn’t really say much about the skill/talent of a players these days. Also I’m pretty sure the playerbase in NA faceit is so low that once u reach like 2.2k elo u are playing vs the top opposition a lot. Obv this has many implications that has affected their players negatively (top dawgs get inflated from recking noobs, the better players aren’t forced to improve, no meta understanding and so on)
