The Estonian rifler will no longer be competing under the FaZe banner heading into 2025.

ropz parts with FaZe after nearly three years with the international side.

FaZe have announced the departure of Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool from the team, saying farewell with the release of a video detailing his career and time with FaZe. The announcement comes after an earlier HLTV report that indicated ropz is headed to Vitality to take the place of Lotan "⁠Spinx⁠" Giladi on the European squad.

Sources: Vitality agree terms with ropz

ropz had been plying his trade for FaZe for nearly three years, reuniting with former MOUZ teammate Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen in January 2022. FaZe found immediate success after ropz's addition to the team, hoisting trophies at IEM Katowice, PGL Major Antwerp, and IEM Cologne.

ropz and the rest of FaZe continued to shine in 2023, completing the Intel Grand Slam with a win at ESL Pro League Season 17, while also hitting the ground running with the release of CS2 with wins at IEM Sydney, Thunderpick World Championship, and CS Asia Championships.

FaZe slowed down in 2024, managing to secure a title at IEM Chengdu while falling short of wins at IEM Katowice and PGL Major Copenhagen. A resurgence in form from ropz late in the year helped the international side to a deep run at Perfect World Shanghai Major, where the team narrowly missed out on a Major win to Spirit.

An earlier report from HLTV indicates that FaZe will be looking to acquire Complexity's star rifler Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski to fill the gap left behind by ropz's departure.

FaZe's decision to let Twistzz go for nothing in 2023 and seemingly not making much efforts to bring in more firepower in place of rain would end up being the beginning of the end for their team. They'll never be the same without ropz. Truly the end of an era. RIP FaZe!
