nawwk joins BC.Game to recreate Apeks core

The Swede has found a new home after his brief stint with fnatic.

BC.Game have announced the addition of Tim "⁠nawwk⁠" Jonasson to their Counter-Strike roster.

The Swede last played for fnatic in a loan deal from BLEED. The deal was originally due to last six months, but he was benched after just three in the aftermath of the team's last-place exit at the Perfect World Shanghai Major.

nawwk now finds a new home just a few weeks later in a BC.Game side that has just decided to move on from Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács. Originally the team's coach, the Slovak veteran returned to active play in October to replace Guy "⁠anarkez⁠" Trachtman, only to be benched two months later.

With the move, BC.Game reunited nawwk with Joakim "⁠jkaem⁠" Myrbostad and Aleksandar "⁠CacaNito⁠" Kjulukoski, who formed the core of Apeks for nearly a year from 2023-2024. Together they most notably placed second at Elisa Masters Espoo and ESL Challenger Atlanta in 2023 and qualified for PGL Major Copenhagen in early 2024.

He's just suffering the same fate as most awpers from pre-2020 csgo era. The game has changed a lot especially in the movement aspect of awping which now doesn't really reward aggro awping as much as it used to so even if GuardiaN did put in the hours in cs2 rn, i don't think he's gonna do any better than his current form.

I agree with the first sentence. The argument itself, I don't think it makes sense. GuardiaN used to play passive, even though he roamed a lot. He wouldn't go for picks as monesy afair. Also, CS2 benefits aggressiveness, which may be the reason he fell off.
