Team ranking: January 2025
Spirit's lead at the top extended to 403 points after they won BLAST Bounty Season 1 Finals.

The new year brought about several changes to the Counter-Strike circuit with events now using Valve's Regional Standings (VRS) to determine invites.
January brought about the first of those after the tournament break with BLAST's all-new Bounty format, which saw 32 teams whittled down to eight in online competition before heading to the tournament organizer's studios in Denmark for the LAN final.
IEM Katowice's Play-in stage took place alongside three local LANs — XSE Pro League 2025, ZOWIE eXTREMELAND Asia Open, and ICE Invitational 2025 — and several tier-two online events, including Frost and Fire Season 1, CCT Season 2 Europe Series 16, and United21 League Season 25.
For new readers or those in need of a refresher, here's a summary of how the HLTV World Ranking by 1xBet works:
Our team ranking is based on teams' achievements over the past year (with severe decay in points throughout each month), recent form over the last two months, and performance in recent events in the last 3 months.
Each team is required to have a three-man core in order to retain their points. Online matches and tournaments are included, but with a diminishing factor which means they cannot make a big difference among the top teams, and mainly serve to put new teams on the map.
Below is the current top 30 table as of Monday, February 3, which goes more in-depth into how the points are distributed — or you can check our special page, where you will be able to find the latest, weekly version of our ranking. You can see the lineup for each team by hovering over their name in the table.
POINTS
Eternal Fire return to top 10 after Bounty success
After a dismal early exit from the Perfect World Shanghai Major Europe RMR spelled an early end to their year in December, Eternal Fire bounced back with aplomb in 2025 after Samet "jottAAA" Köklü was recalled from his loan with Sangal and took Buğra "Calyx" Arkın's place on the roster.

The 22-year-old took no time to bed into the Turkish lineup as they beat Fluxo and Falcons to qualify for the BLAST Bounty Season 1 Finals, where impressive wins over G2 and Vitality put Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli's troops through to the title decider.
The result spurred Eternal Fire up seven spots in HLTV's ranking to match their peak of sixth, which they reached in September 2024 after a runners-up finish to NAVI at ESL Pro League Season 20.
Spirit extend lead over G2, NAVI
Spirit started 2025 where they left off in 2024 — winning another trophy at BLAST Bounty Season 1 Finals.
The Shanghai Major champions barely broke a sweat in wins over fnatic and FlyQuest online and carried that through to the LAN Final in Copenhagen, beating HEROIC in two maps and extending their record over Natus Vincere to 7-1 in a close 2-0 win to reach the final.
Without the experience of coach Sergey "hally" Shavaev behind Spirit in Denmark, some cracks showed, with Eternal Fire managing to recover from a 4-12 deficit on Anubis and win the first map of the title decider in overtime.
That was the only moment of weakness that the Russian team showed that Sunday, though, with Danil "donk" Kryshkovets and Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov combining to dominate Nuke, Dust2, and Mirage en route to the trophy, with the 17-year-old picking up the first MVP medal of the year.

Spirit ended 2024 with 996 points while G2 and Natus Vincere weren't too far behind at 842 and 810, respectively, but that gap has now widened significantly to over 400.
The former lost 20% of their points after Nikola "NiKo" Kovač's departure and the latter lost a significant number of points with ESL Pro League Season 20 falling out of the recent LAN subranking, while Spirit capped out at 1000 after lifting the trophy.
BetBoom, VP, HEROIC prosper
A strong debut in BLAST Bounty's online stage for Kirill "Boombl4" Mikhailov and Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov wth BetBoom allowed the team to jump up 11 spots to 16th, the highest ranking for the organization since January last year.
The absence of Boombl4 and Aleksandr "zorte" Zagodyrenko at BLAST Bounty meant the team was hamstrung at the LAN itself, causing them to drop three spots but still resulting in a net gain of eight spots.

HEROIC pulled off another heist by replenishing its ranks with the core of Sangal and beat 3DMAX and Liquid in BLAST Bounty to start the season strong, and a repeat win over the latter to kick off the IEM Katowice Play-in allowed them a jump from 33rd on the rankings to the cusp of the top 20.
Virtus.pro also found their footing with Denis "electroNic" Sharipov as in-game leader, dispatching Complexity in the online Bounty stage before beating SAW and MIBR in the Katowice Play-in and locking in a Spodek Arena berth with wins over G2 and Eternal Fire.
