launders: "I want to pick up where DreamHack left off in North America"
The Canadian caster discussed the state of his career and his plans for revitalizing North America's LAN scene.

Mohan "launders" Govindasamy wears many hats in the current Counter-Strike landscape. Most well-known for his casting alongside compatriot Conner "Scrawny" Girvan, launders also fills his time creating merch under the BOXR brand, running a YouTube channel, and organizing eponymous LANs in Toronto, Canada.
While attending the HLTV Awards in Belgrade, Serbia, HLTV's Danish "Nohte" Allana had the opportunity to sit down with launders for a long-form interview. The two discussed launders' casting career, his partnership with Scrawny, as well as his numerous non-casting activities.
"[Since the Paris Major final], our commentary has gotten better, our relationship has gotten better, our lives have gotten more fun," launders said while reflecting on his recent work with Scrawny. "I've really enjoyed commentating on CS2 specifically because of the MR12 and the smokes; they've made every round so much more interesting for me.
"I feel this sort of alacrity for commentary, where it feels like, I wonder how many more years there are now. How much more fun will it get? It's just been so good so far, and even though we haven't done a Major final since the [Paris] Major final, it doesn't really matter."
"I focus the most on casting," launders shared when discussing balancing his time between his various ventures. "It makes me the most money, it's the job that's closest to the dream of being in the server. I get to cast the live action in the server, that's pretty much the coolest job I have of anything."
One non-casting pursuit that launders discussed in depth was the creation of the "launders LAN" series of events in Toronto. "It's a passion for us when it comes to the LAN scene in Toronto. It's dormant, but it was thriving at one point, so we know that the people will come to it so we know it can be successful."
"The business that we want to run... we want to pick up where DreamHack left off in North America," launders elaborated in the interview. "Getting to become a tier-one Counter-Strike event is not my goal. I like amateur competition, I want the local LAN spirit, I want people meeting each other from other games, and I want to make a gaming festival."
