500 win CCT Season 2 Europe Series 17

The Bulgarian side came back from a map deficit against Partizan to win the online event.

SHiPZ and co. shot up thirty ranks in the VRS after their CCT win

500 have come out on top in CCT Season 2 Europe Series 17, taking down Serbian side Partizan to secure the online event's $22,000 grand prize.

For their troubles, 500 have also risen substantially in the VRS ranking, climbing to #27 in the world after starting the event as #57, fueled by their wins over Partizan and B8 in the playoffs. 500 have now eclipsed fnatic, BC.Game, and BetBoom in the VRS, while finding themselves just shy of names like Passion UA and Complexity in the ranking.

500 kicked off their run in Series 18 with their sole series loss of the event, a 1-2 defeat to Polish side Betclic. Afterwards, Teodor "⁠SPELLAN⁠" Nikolov's troops rallied with wins over 9INE and the former Into the Breach core on moneyF before reaching playoffs with a forfeit victory over OG.

500 overcame 9 Pandas in their opening playoff series thanks to a stellar showing from Georgi "⁠SHiPZ⁠" Grigorov, who posted a dominant 1.83 rating to get his team over the line in the round of 16. 500 followed this win up with victories over ECLOT and B8, setting them up for a grand final match-up against Luka "⁠emi⁠" Vuković's Partizan.

After suffering a 9-13 loss on their own pick of Anubis to start the series, 500 recovered with one-sided wins on the next two maps of Inferno and Mirage to set Partizan aside, securing 500 first place in the online tournament.
