M80, ODDIK round out PGL Astana 2025 team list

All 16 teams have been settled with the conclusion of the American qualifiers.

M80 will attend their third Big Event of 2025

M80 and ODDIK are the final two teams to punch their tickets to PGL Astana through the North and South American closed qualifiers after Ninjas in Pyjamas secured a return to LAN by winning in Europe and HOTU cleared the bracket in Asia.

The two American teams round out the 16-team roster for PGL Astana, which will take place on May 10-18 with $1,250,000 on the line, joining teams of the caliber of Spirit, Natus Vincere, Eternal Fire, G2, and The MongolZ.

M80, who have played at ESL Pro League Season 21 and BLAST Open Lisbon so far in 2025, will now get another shot at a Big Event after clearing the North American qualifier with victories over the likes of Wildcard and BLUEJAYS.

The PGL Astana qualifier was also important in the hunt for Major qualification, and M80 got themselves a double whammy against Wildcard as they surpassed Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz and his men in the Americas VRS to go straight to Stage 2 of the Major instead of the MRQ.

ODDIK, who became the fourth Brazilian team in the tournament's roster after FURIA, paiN, and MIBR received invitations, lost to BESTIA in the qualifier's group stage and were sent to the lower bracket, but they came back to take revenge before beating Fluxo and Imperial in the playoffs.

The final series against Vinicius "VINI" Figueiredo and company was particularly notable. All five of the maps in the BO5 were played, and all of them went to 23 or more rounds as ODDIK completed the reverse sweep after going down 0-2.

This was a particularly special qualification for the Brazilian organization, which will field a team at an event of this stature for the first time after making it to an Americas RMR and an ESL Challenger tournament in 2024.

nothing more ingenuine than pretending you don't know M80 just to make a senseless point lol none of the "nonames" even gained an invite, they fought hard through qualifiers for their place on Astana, so cry harder I guess I don't know

bro is either an actual clown or trying desperately for attention by baiting so NA/SA regions what, shouldn't be allowed to play in tournaments? EU only then, right? so let's gatekeep teams because they're from a certain region? maybe we should ban Portuguese players from competing in tournaments because what has a PT team ever done? nothing.

Yes exactly, these teams should improve so that qualifying against EU and RU teams would be no problem for them, then maybe they can show good showing at LAN.

they're about to play against EU and RU teams at the tournament? what are you smoking dude, they get a chance to compete against the tier 1 teams, that's why they go through qualifiers. they haven't won anything yet.

yes they should consider themself lucky because they wouldn't make these events if they need to qualify in same system that EU teams qualify through.

Calm down using words like 'tier 5' because tier 5 EU teams are still better than USA best.

Brother you’re Portuguese. How’s that scene in cs? Just because you’re “part of Europe” doesn’t mean your scene is good. The Portuguese scene is so good actually that saw went international for Azuwu and cej0t LMAO

What is your problem? They qualified through their region. You are only mad at Brazil for stealing your language and having more success than Portugal.
