makazze stars as NAVI Junior win YaLLa Compass
NAVI's academy squad didn't lose a single match throughout the tournament.
NAVI Junior defeated ENCE in the YaLLa Compass grand final with a 2-0 scoreline (Anubis 19-16, Ancient 13-5) to claim the $150,000 grand prize alongside the title.
The online event was originally supposed to have a $600,000 prize pool and be played on LAN but was moved online due to "unexpected scheduling constraints" as the tournament clashed with the MRQs.
The event also featured a revised team list, as seven teams pulled out for the aforementioned reason, with NAVI Junior announced as the last replacement after Passion UA couldn't field their three-man VRS core.

The academy squad began their reign of terror in the group stage and won all five matches without allowing their opponents to reach double digits, which meant they skipped the quarter-final stage of the playoffs.
In the semi, they lost the first map against ECLOT but recovered to win the series after nearly letting the Czech side to come back from 5-11 on the decider. Drin "makazze" Shaqiri was once again the star of the show and put up a 1.34 rating overall.
That meant they would face off against ENCE, who took down BetBoom in their earlier match, in the grand final.
While Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander's troops put up a fight on their Anubis pick and only admitted defeat in the second overtime, Ancient was a stomp for NAVI Junior, who waltzed to a 13-5 victory to win the event.
makazze continues to impress
NAVI Junior's young Kosovar rifler makazze has gathered quite a bit of hype as one of the best youngsters competing in online competitions, and his YaLLa Compass performance will only increase his stock price.
The 18-year-old finished the event as the highest-rated player (1.36), followed by fellow prodigy Maxim "kyousuke" Lukin (1.33), and utterly dominated ENCE on the second map of the grand final (25-8 K-D, 2.23 rating, 126.9 ADR) to ensure his team's victory.

As Natus Vincere's senior roster struggles through a slump — driven in part by individual performance drop-offs — the solution might be very close to home.
