The MongolZ announce academy roster at "homecoming" event

A crowd of 3,000 welcomed The MongolZ home from the Major at an arena in Ulaanbaatar, where the organization announced its first academy lineup.

The MongolZ have announced the signing of an academy roster just one week after returning from the BLAST.tv Austin Major, where the primary lineup finished as runners-up to Vitality in the grand final.

The announcement was made at a fan event organized by The MongolZ at the Steppe Arena in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, which saw 3,000 fans welcome the Major finalists home and featured live music, interviews, a signing session, and showmatches.

One of those showmatches was one between the team's primary roster and its newly announced academy roster, which is coached by Ulambayar "rifle" Dolgor and features 15-year-old rifler Itgel "HAKAIII8" Tsogtbayar, 17-year-old in-game leader Sanchirbileg "CXIX" Ulziibadrakh, and 16-year-old AWPer Zolbayar "t!kuak" Chimedtseren.

The signing adds to a continuing interest in Counter-Strike out of Mongolia after Chinggis Warriors also qualified for Stage 1 of the Austin Major and fans showed up in the thousands across Mongolia to watch The MongolZ play in the grand final of the Major.
