Official: chelo returns to Imperial

The new roster is already in action in Thunderpick World Championship SA Series 1.

Imperial have announced the signing of Marcelo "⁠chelo⁠" Cespedes, confirming a previous report from Dust2 Brasil that indicated the organization was in talks with FURIA about a transfer.

He joins the team in place of Richard "⁠chayJESUS⁠" Seidy, with Imperial also set for a second move as they are linked to the signing of José "⁠Shr⁠" Gil to replace Lucas "⁠decenty⁠" Bacelar.

The 27-year-old has been on FURIA's bench since April, when the team chose to go international by adding Mareks "⁠YEKINDAR⁠" Gaļinskis on loan and signing Danil "⁠molodoy⁠" Golubenko, and makes his return to Imperial after last playing for the team in July 2023.

He averaged a 1.00 rating over 309 maps during his two-year stint with FURIA, a far cry from the 1.12 rating he had during his previous tenure with Imperial and form that he'll hope to turn around with the change.

The new Imperial roster with Shr and chelo is currently making its debut against Bounty Hunters in Thunderpick World Championship SA Series 1.
