JamYoung secures FISSURE Playground 1 MVP

JamYoung makes history for his country with a first-ever HLTV medal.

Yi "⁠JamYoung⁠" Yang has become the first Chinese player to win a HLTV x 1XBET Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for his efforts at FISSURE Playground 1.

The grand final was, fittingly, his playground, as JamYoung put together 1.84, 1.62, and 1.61 ratings on TYLOO's three map wins to put his MVP case beyond any doubt.

The remarkable carry was a required one, too, given that TYLOO played more than half of their maps with WeiJie "⁠zhokiNg⁠" Zhong instead of star AWPer Dongkai "⁠Jee⁠" Ji.

TYLOO's fairytale is even more remarkable given that JamYoung, as recently as November 2024, was flirting with a move to VALORANT.

Fortunately for Counter-Strike, he ended up returning to TYLOO's lineup a few months later and has helped them rise from 87th on the VRS to 7th in the space of six months.

The event was not a Big Event, but narrowly qualified for a bronze MVP thanks to two top-10 teams attending. A medal was then confirmed by the $1,000,000 prize pool (and subsequent VRS impact) in addition to the quantity of solid top 20 teams who accepted invites.
