The MongolZ bench Senzu in shock move

The Mongolian squad enacted its first roster change in over two years.

The MongolZ have announced the shock removal of Azbayar "⁠Senzu⁠" Munkhbold from their active roster, with the 19-year-old moving to the bench with immediate effect.

The surprise change comes after a successful period for the Mongolian team, who won Esports World Cup and reached the final of BLAST Bounty and FISSURE Playground 2 since the start of the fall season.

Senzu was the team's best performer during their run, averaging a 1.11 rating since the summer break.

"Over the past years, Senzu and the boys have together written a new chapter in Mongolian esports, showcasing world class talent, dedication, and determination," the organization's statement reads.

"This decision was made after careful discussions between players and management. We deeply appreciate our fans’ continued support and respect for the team as we move forward."

This is The MongolZ's first change since they signed Senzu in September 2023, back when the team was ranked at the outskirts of the top 30.

Senzu quickly became the team's star player and helped them turn from underdogs to trophy contenders, and topped the board in the final of their first Big Event trophy at EWC earlier in August, but will now no longer represent the team.

"It feels like im leaving my home," Senzu said on X. "We made a lot of memories together. I wish all the best things for my beloved ones. My apologies to the ones who support us, sorry for bad news."
