MOUZ announce siuhy return

After leading its junior team to four WePlay Academy League titles, Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek returns to MOUZ a year later to captain the main squad.

MOUZ has announced the addition of former GamerLegion member siuhy to the main team. The Pole comes in to take over in-game leadership from Christopher "dexter" Nong, who was officially removed from the squad on Friday.

siuhy returns for a second stint with the German organization. The previous saw him compete for the MOUZ NXT junior roster, which won four consecutive WePlay Academy League titles in 2021-2022 with the now-20-year-old at the helm.

In MOUZ he rejoins three of his former teammates from the successful academy squad, Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás, Dorian "xertioN" Berman and coach Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen, who were promoted to the main lineup in 2022 while siuhy himself transferred to GamerLegion.

During his stint with GamerLegion and in particular thanks to his contributions to the team's run to second place at the BLAST.tv Paris Major this May, siuhy has become one of the most praised in-game leaders on the rise, with many expecting him to get a call up to a more high-profile roster.

MOUZ bid farewell to dexter

siuhy has now gotten the chance by rejoining the organization that is partnered with ESL and that has consistently competed at the biggest tournaments in recent years, remaining within the top 20 for the majority of the time.

"Siuhy's return infuses the team with a fresh mindset, but also familiarity, providing a solid foundation for their journey ahead," a statement from MOUZ reads. "As they navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by CS2, MOUZ and siuhy aim to cement their place as one of the top contenders in the scene."

"Since day one MOUZ is always in the back of my head and ever since I left for that year, even though I was playing for GamerLegion I was also thinking about MOUZ and what could happen in one or two years' time," siuhy said about the move. "So, for sure, coming back to my friends and seeing them again is a great feeling."

At least one more change to the MOUZ squad is yet to come following the benching of Jon "JDC" de Castro. Rumors suggest 16-year-old academy prospect Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo could be promoted to fill the gap and that the organization is also looking into possibilities to replace torzsi.

Because you need to let things run their course, you can't just change immediately every time something doesn't work. Also, going for a young guy is always a gamble, and sometimes the best way is to let a player find his game in a lower-tier team, then bring him along once he gets more experience. That's what they do in pro soccer and basketball and other sports.

Actually a smart move. He is familiar with many players and organisation and most importantly the pressure will be much lower. Had he joined G2 or Faze and hadn't won the very first event, people would be demanding his benching straight away.

It's just rumors, and the last sentence in the article also mentions it. Nothing solid, ppl assumed degster might replace torszi as MOUZ and Liquid appearently has shown some interest in him but doubt they'd get him cheap enough that they'd consider it worth it. He comes with too much of a baggage (ego problems) that it's not worth paying top dollar for. I would be suprised if they find a solid replacement, not that torszi has been good but it might be worth testing torszi under siuhy first as dexter's playstyle regarding awp was quite odd according some interview with torszi. I bet under siuhy they will get much more out of him (even acoR looked like a different player under his command) so I think it would be stupid to go replace torszi unless they managed to get lucky with a deal somewhere (~<300k for a top-10 awp sorta) but doubt there's any such deals available.
2023-07-03 16:24

there was an article that mouz and liquid are interested in degster. which means they are looking for a replacement for torzsi. torzsi was pretty bad nowadays, but degster has so much ego and already said he wants free hands wherever he goes. that doesnt sound like a good team player. also we have never seen a good awper under dexter. awpers with potential went shit under him meanwhile torzsi was really good under siuhy. I wish they tried the lineup with only -dexter +siuhy as frozen is a big upgrade for the OG mouz nxt lineup which I always wanted to be promoted as a whole. so I hope they are done with changes and lets see if torzsi has what it takes to be in t1 and was ruined by dexter or was a fluke all the way up to top tier play.

They didn't let him go because they thought he wasn't good enough, they had an IGL in dexter and at that time they played kinda well for a young team. Noone of you people here would've said something like that when MOUZ made it to the top 4 of the Rio major while GL bombed out early.

This guy has bright future ahead of him. I really hope that one day when karrigan decides to hang up the mouse and transfer to coaching role, that Faze sign siuhy so he can finally play with his idol. It would be best IGL + Coach duo ever.

This is a well done vid, really hype/emotion building around siuhy, feels like he's the karrigan of the future sorta when watching this video. Also feels great to hear the correct pronounciation confirmed that I've assumed it would be like, that "shoe hey" pronounciation, sounded so dumb to me that some casters kept using. xD

Great move, will be interesting to follow. But they NEED to find a better awper if they want to compete for any trophies

Torszi and Siuhy are best friends, so I doubt they will replace him without giving him last chance
