ENCE win the race for sdy, and bench their highest-rated player to make room for academy star sniper podi.

sdy stepped down from Monte after their failure to make the Copenhagen Major

ENCE have pulled the trigger on a double change after a tumble down the rankings in recent months.

Olek "⁠hades⁠" Miskiewicz and Paweł "⁠dycha⁠" Dycha have been benched, to be replaced by Paavo "⁠podi⁠" Heiskanen and Viktor "⁠sdy⁠" Orudzhev.

The organization signed the former 9INE trio late last year in a scramble to retain their RMR spot, but five months down the line results have soured enough for management to ring the changes once more.

"The aura built on the Katowice run [where ENCE made it to Spodek] quickly passed, and frustration grew in each of us," head coach kuben said to ENCE's official website

dycha is the first to make way, after being under scrutiny in the roster since its formation. The Pole was a key third star for 2023's ENCE lineup but, albeit in different roles, he dropped to a 0.97 rating on LAN in 2024.

"A year ago IEM Dallas 2023 champion and now the bench," dycha said on Twitter. "More than three years at ENCE. I was just not happy in this team and I didn't want to be here anymore."

The surprise comes in the second benching of hades, who has been ENCE's highest-rated player this year and earned an EVP in their playoff run at IEM Katowice.

He will be replaced as the primary AWPer by 19-year-old starlet podi from ENCE Academy, who was tipped for future success as the 2024 Bold Prediction of both Guy "⁠NertZ⁠" Iluz and Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač.

podi earned two nods in Bold Predictions last year, from NiKo and NertZ

NertZ, who was at ENCE last year, said that he "saw a mature person that wants to be on the next level." He continued, "I believe podi has the skill to be [in the top 20] in a few years. Teams should keep an eye on him."

podi had been lined up for a move to Sprout in March, but returned to the ENCE fold after the German organization's collapse and now earns his promotion.

Completing the puzzle is sdy, who will fill in the map control and rotate positions neither Kacper "⁠Kylar⁠" Walukiewicz nor dycha were comfortable in before. He also links up with kuben again, who was his coach in MAD Lions in 2022.

Why sdy has been in the form of his life with Monte

sdy was the figurehead of Monte's rise up the rankings in 2023, and earned his first MVP at ESL Challenger Jönköping to mark his improvement from a supportive element in Natus Vincere to a star player.

He went on to place 27th in the year's extended top players of 2023 list, before allowing his contract to expire in Monte in February 2024 after the side's failure to make the Major.

His free agent status also means both transfers come without nominal transfer fees, as ENCE continues to earn their reputation for smart finances.

The new lineup is set to debut at the BLAST Fall Showdown qualifier on June 1.

As much as it pains me to see ENCE lose the Polish core, it makes sense in terms of roles too. They didn't really have anyone who would be a natural map control/rotation guy and it did show a lot. I feel bad as hell for hades, but at least his replacement makes sense in all this. I really do hope that he manages to find a home in some semi-decent team though.

Maybe this was the best he could do * For rest of ence players, sdy should bring better secondary leadership, which may be what ence lacks, then again some of the polish synergy might be lost. Podi has potential to better than hades but maybe that never happens. Overall not really negative or positive. * For Ence as org, reclaims its position as finnish team with addition of finnish player, which is good for the org. Also podi is surely cheaper than dycha or hades, maybe overall is also cheaper. For org its either non-move or positive.

Well, ENCE's game plan for a few years already has seemed to be buying young cheap talent / tier 2 players, developing them in a good system towards tier 1 and selling them making some good profit. I thought about GL too, but they just build one of the most promising new teams that I don't want to break it. sl3nd is a top 5 AWP prospect, aNdu reminds me of Ax1le back at Gambit and Fl4mus is also a monster. Snax finally found himself not as the star rifle not as the Main AWP (in my opinion his worst decision) but instead a power IGL just like tabseN. The only one who is just solid is my opinion is volt, but he is consistent and thats also important for the team performance. In my opinion TSM also could pick them up for Ence top 2 rebuild

Why so many people crying over hades? Look at his rating against top 10-20 teams. He’s one of the most inconsistent AWPers out there. Podi is good mechanically and sdy had experience and will be a great addition to second calling. Polish roster had many chances to show up and break the curse but they didn’t, even in online tournaments against tier 2 teams.

My guess is that they will give podi a chance to prove himself and if he doesn't use it then he will go back to academy/some tier 2-3 team. So basically podi is stand-in and if there is some solid upgrade to awper's position then ENCE will grab that player. GL to podi anyways, let's hope that he will perform. And by the way... there is also 2high in academy roster as igl IF gl4ive's calling doesn't prove to be good enough.

Really happy about Dycha, but Hades... such a bad decision. It just proves that Ence management don't actually give a shit about the success of the team, they just want to cheap out as much as possibly on any available player. Losing Hades means they don't have to pay as much on player wages. I want Podi to do well, but benching Hades was not the correct decision

HENU played in CCT Finals or something. Yes it took couple of matches before he was comfortable with LAN environment and so on, but at the end he actually was top fragging in some match. So it's just saying that many adapts to the demand that has given to you. We'll see how podi handles that. Like I said in some comment: "even tough hades was highest rated player, it doesn't always mean that player fits to rest of the roster. -dycha was expected, but -hades was probably more about his attitude/how he reacts/how he behaves or stuff outside the game."

Podi just has way more potential. Dycha like yekindar just not the same players. They played so unorthodox and aggressive. But hard to replicate that when there is so many demos on dycha and what he wants to do on the map. Hopefully he can find a team that gives more space and freedom to get that spark back
