Ninjas in Pyjamas and Wildcard have been eliminated from ESL Pro League S20 after respective losses to HEROIC and 3DMAX in the Last Chance Stage.

Ninjas in Pyjamas' exit is a particularly damning one, as the European combine fell short of expectations and won just one match in Malta. Their victory came in the opener against HEROIC, where René "⁠TeSeS⁠" Madsen and company had their first map win overturned after the Dane was found to be using Snap Tap. After the match, TeSeS branded the mistake "fucking embarrassing and amateur" and stated that it was not used on purpose.

Ninjas in Pyjamas then lost to FaZe and Natus Vincere during a tough run to meet HEROIC once again, but the Alejandro "⁠alex⁠" Masanet-led team fell apart on the decider to suffer an early exit at EPL.

Wildcard were also sent home from EPL after recording a solitary victory against a struggling KOI in the 8th-place decider match. The Peter "⁠stanislaw⁠" Jarguz-led team gave Spirit a run for their money in an encouraging display but were later swept in two-map series by 9z and 3DMAX.

Honestly I don't think that they looked bad at EPL but some unlucky matchups against really good teams and being unable to find form against said teams just let them down. It looked like that they were not really that competitive against Na'Vi but found form against FaZe Clan and Heroic, they just couldn't close the games out.
