The official debut for Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo's Last Dance lineup went off without a hitch.

The first South America open qualifier for the PGL Major Antwerp Americas RMR event has concluded, awarding four teams spots in the Major-qualifying tournament that will run from April 11-14 in Bucharest.

The open qualifier marked the official debut of FalleN's 'Last Dance' lineup under the Imperial banner, drawing over 200,000 viewers to Alexandre "⁠gAuLeS⁠" Chiqueta's stream for their round of 128 match alone. The team's run through the bracket was a successful one, and almost flawless until the very end, wins over TotalePro and Meta securing them a spot at the RMR event and a subsequent victory over 9z and loss to Case leaving them as the second seed.

FalleN's Imperial are through to the Americas RMR

The other revamped South American squads also found success in their qualification efforts, with the recently-created Case lineup particularly standing out after they moved past Cruzeiro and overcame Sharks in a tight 2-1 series to secure their own RMR berth. Lucas "⁠steel⁠" Lopes' side then went on to best 00NATION and Imperial in the seeding matches to emerge on top of the whole qualifier.

Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David's troops, meanwhile, nearly didn't make it through the qualifying round, only barely surviving a scare from Isurus. The Brazilian-Argentine squad scored a one-sided win on Overpass to kick off their series against 00NATION, and recovered from a 5-15 deficit on Mirage to fight all the way to overtime. However, 00NATION managed to stabilize and secure their map pick in narrow fashion, before showing a much better face on Nuke to close out the series.

The fourth team to qualify was 9z, who scored one of the few 'upset' wins of the bracket after beating MIBR 16-7 in the round of 16. A hard-fought three-map series over B4 followed, with 9z just managing to pull through to qualify before dropping a seeding match to Imperial and forfeiting the third place decider to 00NATION.

PGL rulebook... the 1st in all America Qualifier will be seed 2-5, while all the 2nd places in open qualifier will be seed 6-9

The order is: 1 - Furia 2-5 - (1th places from the qualifiers) 6-9- (2th places from the qualifiers) 10-13 - (3th places from the qualifiers) 14-16 - (4th places from the qualifiers) So it's better to win the second qualifier than to be second in the first. Terrible ranking

The NA professionals that care about CS (dedicate 100% to cs) will make it through the qualifier because you just have to play against 3 SA teams and just 1 is good (godsent) while the other 2 (teamone and pain) can be beaten by the NA tier 2 teams. If liquid, col and EG cant get the spot they really dont care about cs anymore.

Case was a really nice surprise, before I wasn't even sure If they would be able make it to the closed RMR but now they are officially on the fight for one of the last majors spots. Also Im glad Imperial got an easy bracket, the RMR just wouldnt be the same without them, we need their hype to bump our scene as a whole
