The 17-year-old starlet was in talks with Wildcard, but has reportedly been tempted away by an offer from Brazil's highest-ranked team.

snow has been a notable prospect since he stood in for BOOM at the age of 13

paiN have won the battle for João "⁠snow⁠" Vinicius's signature under the noses of João "⁠horvy⁠" Horvath's Wildcard, according to Dust2 Brasil.

The deal is in advanced negotiations, and now depends on paiN finding an agreement for the transfer from Case, something that the report states should "arrive soon."

The highly rated 17-year-old is set to replace Marcelo "⁠nyezin⁠" Ramos on the lineup, who stood in for paiN after Vinicius "⁠n1ssim⁠" Pereira's loan deal expired after PGL Major Copenhagen.

snow has been on the Brazilian scene's radar since 2020 at the age of 13 when he was signed by BOOM. He went on to play for Young Gods and Los Grandes Academy before joining Case in March 2023.

In CS2, his potential has started to show with a 1.19 rating and that has been rewarded with interest from Brazil's highest-ranked team.

It speaks to snow's stock that paiN have made this move despite winning GET Rio with nyezin, a necessary move after the teenager engaged in talks with Wildcard.

Dust2 Brasil's report also noted interest from Fluxo and KaBuM, who are looking to re-enter CS with help from Alexandre "⁠gAuLeS⁠" Chiqueta, but paiN seem to have emerged victorious.

?????? first you have to look at only CS2 , since its a new game. since cs2 arrived , faze with twistzz won alot more , more convicing wins , less round lost vs shitter teams, . faze with frozen , makes rain and ropz not perform. won mickey mouse 8 team tournament IEM chengu , thats it.

On one side I'm glad he's getting a chance on a big team but on the other it doesn't feel right to me to add another really young player to a team already filled with them, hopefully it works out and biguzera can manage all that on his own, but tbh I think an already proved and experienced player would be better fit for Pain right now. The funniest part is that they payed a serious amount of money for Fallen, didn't kicked arT until a year after that, changed back and forth the IGL role between the two (EXACTLY like it happened with Fallen in Liquid), and now that they only have Fallen, the team is not even in the top 3 of Brazil anymore.
