Legacy, ODDIK among teams through to Americas RMR SA closed qualifier
South American teams now have only one shot left to reach the closed qualifier.

The first South American open qualifier for the region's PGL Major Copenhagen Americas RMR closed qualifier has drawn to a close, seeing a quartet of Brazilian sides lay claim to their spots in the closed bracket.
The teams who were ultimately victorious on day two of the first qualifier include Marcelo "coldzera" David's Legacy, Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles' Flamengo, ODDIK, and W7M.

Legacy picked up where they left off on the second day, shoving aside adalYamigos and blockkstar en route to being the first to reach the closed qualifier. Elsewhere in the bracket, ODDIK also managed to move on with relative ease over Hype and Patins da Ferrari.
Flamengo's start to the second day versus aNXi5tyS amounted to a stroll in the park, but their qualifying series against Case proved to be far more taxing. Flamengo were forced to overtime on their pick of Inferno, but came out on top before stealing away Mirage to complete the series 2-0.
The final side to secure qualification was W7M. After an early 13-11 scare on day one versus Argentine squad Audi TT, W7M faced few problems until their qualification match versus Dusty Roots.
After breezing through Dusty Roots' pick of Anubis with a 13-3 scoreline, W7M stumbled on their own pick of Overpass, allowing the Argentine team to capitalize with a 13-10 victory. In the end, W7M composed themselves on the deciding map of Mirage, beating out Dusty Roots 13-7 to take their place in the closed qualifier.

A notable squad that missed out on a closed qualifier berth on the first go-around was O PLANO. The newly assembled side narrowly avoided elimination to Solid on the first day, but conditions proved to be not quite as favorable for the veterans on day two.
Stormy weather in São Paulo caused power issues in the O PLANO camp during the team's first match of the second day. After a lengthy pause at halftime, Dusty Roots pulled ahead to send O PLANO packing from the qualifier's Round of 16 with a 13-9 scoreline.
With the first open qualifier complete, the South American closed qualifier now features the following teams:
