Perfect World Shanghai Major RMR team list finalized
Fifty-six teams are set to battle it out for Major spots at the RMRs, set to be played in Shanghai, China.

The team list for all three regional RMR tournaments has been finalized following the conclusion of the regional closed qualifiers, meaning that the 56 teams set to compete for 24 Major spots are now known.
The qualification process will start with the Asia RMR (November 11-14) before the Americas (November 12-15) and Europe (November 17-24) RMRs get underway.
In Europe, 16 teams made it through the closed qualifier to join the 16 already invited because of their rank in Valve's Regional Standings. The teams will be split into two 16-team Swiss groups, with both groups scheduled for November 17-24, with seven Major spots on the line in each group.
The EU closed qualifier ended dramatically as PARIVISION were first disqualified due to having coach Ivan "F_1N" Kochugov, then believed to be serving a permanent ban from Valve events, with the team during matches.
The Russian squad then had the decision overturned after it was revealed the 40-year-old had had his ban reduced in what ESIC called a "special evaluation of the significantly out-of-time appeal."

Even though most favorites were able to secure their spots at the RMR, the tournament will still have some notable teams missing. BLEED, KOI, Monte, and ENCE all missed out on RMR spots after their surprising eliminations in Group A, while OG were the biggest name to miss out in Group B.
That meant we also had some unexpected teams making it through, with majority-Czech teams UNiTY and ECLOT, as well as Rebels and Oleksandr Zinchenko's Passion UA, the lowest-ranked squads at the event.

In the Americas, 16 teams will fight for the seven available slots, one more than previously, after the region had four teams in the top-16 stage in the PGL Copenhagen Major. The Americas RMR is set to take place in Shanghai from November 12-15 and feature eight invited sides, including Liquid, Complexity, and FURIA, as well as eight qualified teams.

Wildcard and Legacy OCE are among the four teams to have made the cut through the North American qualifier, while RED Canids and BESTIA are the two highest-ranked South American qualified squads.

In the Asian RMR, eight teams will fight for the three available Major spots. The MongolZ, FlyQuest, and Lynn Vision received direct invitations due to their rank in Valve's Regional Standings and are the favorites to make it through, but a quintet of qualified rosters will be aiming to put a spanner in the works.
Rare Atom will be riding a wave of confidence after besting TYLOO in the Chinese qualifier, with Alter Ego, TALON, DRILLAS, and GR all looking to upset the apple cart at the RMR.
